From a reader: 'This restaurant was recommended by a brother at the Islamic Cultural Center of Madrid as being a Halal restaurant. On going to this restaurant, I asked one of the workers who confirmed their food to be Halal. Alhumdulillah they don't serve alcohol or sheesha. There are many restaurants in Madrid who say their food is Halal but they also serve alcohol, which for me puts a doubt in my mind on the authenticity of their Halal food.'

Visited La Alhambra with my wife recently. The restaurant appears very clean and the owner was welcoming. We were both served a very tasty Moroccan meal in minutes. Recommended. The restaurant is very close to the Lavapies subway station, there is a good choice of other halal restaurants close by and a small masjid within 100 meters.
We came here after Zuhr prayer at Baitul Mukaram Mosque that located just few steps from the restaurant. My father was on wheelchair. Eventhough there is no ramp available, we still managed to enter the restaurant & being well attended by the helpful staff. We ordered Tagine chicken & beef with rice and veges, chicken & lamb grill with fries & veges. The tagines were nice & complete with flavour. Grilled chicken was a bit dry & tasteless to our Asian taste. But the staff gives us a complementary hot sauce or we call it here 'sambal' that added a nice tangy & a bit spicy flavour to the chicken. Alhamdulillah😁 Plus, nothing beats a hot mint tea on a cold & rainy day. The best hot mint tea we ever had☺️ a clean toilet was also provided in the restaurant.
