Love this place. I\'ve been coming here for years and even before frequenting this place, somewhere between 2002-2005, I used to go to their Richmond Hill location off of Oxford and Yonge st. The decor in this place has always been severely lacking & the washrooms can be absolutely horrendous (I never use the toilet but just the sink to wash my hands but ensure not to touch anything else in there). Regardless, the food is amazing so it makes up for all that. Our go to meal has always been the quarter leg tandoori chicken dinner which is super cheap (currently at about $6.45) and it includes rice (I believe it\'s fried), tandoori naan and salad. You can also ask them for no salad in exchange for extra rice. I must say, the quarter leg is really, really good. The spices are not overpowering and the addition of fresh coriander & onions on the rice & chicken gives it that much more taste. The rice as well is super awesome. It\'s so tasty and with the fresh coriander added on top it tastes so good. The raita in the squeeze bottles is a must have as well, a little spicy but it packs a ton of flavour. I always need to have a bottle beside me. The staff is very nice & they very rarely fail in ensuring your food is ready quickly and it\'s fresh and piping hot. Their tandoori naan is awesome too; it\'s what you expect of a tandoori naan: hot, soft and fresh. Although I almost always eat the quarter chicken leg I have tried the chicken biryani before and it\'s decent but as you can tell, I love the quarter chicken leg. We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids aged 10 & under) and we usually get 4 quarter leg deals and it comes out to under $30. Also, you can ask for a free pitcher of water and forgo the sugary drinks if you\'d like.
Great tasty food. Halal sign on window. I ordered lamb karahi and haleem. Karahi was awesome and had authentic karahi taste. Haleem was not so great but ok. Portion vs prices are ok. I recommend this restaurant for take out and some informal dine in.
Great food, close to Airport, have been there several times - consistent. Recommended: Karai chicken with rice white meat, Haleem with nan, Tandoori chicken with fries n nan.
Probably the best Kebob in town. I dont say that lightly. Very Good Food, friendly service, but not so nice decor. Great for takeout.
This restaurant has the unique distinction of having been the first restaurant certified by the HMA (Halal Monitoring Authority). Unfortunately, the food is pretty ordinary, service is so-so, ambience is drab, cleanliness and hygiene are below average. If you have absolutely no choice, then this restaurant could be an option but it is definitely not up to the mark for a regular visitor.
Masha'Allah good food, not too far from Pearson international Airport. Try: Karhai chicken with rice(white meat), Haleem with nan. The first restaurant to be HMA certified
decent place, quarter chicken dinner great value for money at 5.99 (sometimes 4.99) ambience is average sometimes heat is a bit low, hot food gets cold fast while eating when sitting near the windows during colder months. as a a regular customer of this place, i noticed number of people coming have decreased over time as competition/halal options around the area has increased with more modern menus (bamiyan kebob on airport, other kebob places on east on derry/rexdale/427) grilled chicken tastes great, perhaps a little oily, but still great value for the 1/4 chicken meal. will return, but hope owners revitalize the menu/place to stay competitive.
What can I say it's halal and it will fill u up. The food is average and the seating/atmosphere is average too.
Quality - Average Taste - Excelent Quantity - Extremely Poor! I recently went to the kebob with family to break my fast and was greatly disappointed with the quantity of their serving ESPECIALLY for the pricing they have kept. For about $8 we were served 2 pieces f seekh kabob with salad an a naan. The 2 pieces were actually one seekh kabob cut into half and same went for the chapli kabob. No doubt that the taste of the food was very nice but i would never go back to the restaurabt since theur practically ripping you off with the high pricing and extremely small quantity. I do not mind high pricing when its justified with the quantity and quality if the food being served but taste alone can not justify such high pricing.
Average place, but great food. Their Qeema Naan is uncontested in entire GTA. The Seekh Kababs are the best and Grilled chicken is amazing. (Other conventional food is so so). Little expensive than the average Pakistani cuisine, but a must try place. You'd love their grilled stuff.
Had a family get together at this restaurant over the thanksgiving weekend, wonderful food, GREAT service, really enjoyed it and will definitely go there again and again Allah willing.
I am an employee. I started to dine at The Kebob because I trusted that it was halal. This was verified when I was hired there. The meat supplier is employed by 100% Muslims and is authenticated by a local Mosque.
Good food, especially the kebobs...expensive however.
best kebobs in town, naans are wonderful aswell, it takes a while for your order but because everything is fresh, pricey ... definately worth it
The service was excellent. One of the most delicious restaurants I have ever visited. Food was great, especially Kebobs and Chicken Tikka. Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Pls. visit as highly recommended.
Been to this place many times and each time I experienced good service and great food! Does get a little cold in there in the winter, other than that, great place!
I have to admitt, the service is not consistent. Some days it is good, some days it is terrible. The food is great, amazing chicken tikka, specify white meat, if you want whit meat. If ordering, better to call in advance. The wait could kill you, expecially if you are fasting. Really, the food is worth the wait, pricey, but very tasty
I went to the Kebob, and ordered their CHICKEN TIKKA for take out. I asked the server if it was made with CHICKEN BREAST, and i was assured that it was. Upon opening the take out box at home I discovered that it was all THIGH meat. I will NEVER eat there again, and I advice you not to eat there again either. Come on the meal cost 10.30 with tax and when phoned and confronted, we were told that you could ONLY get thigh for 10.30.. that is simply outrageous, and I strongly advice all of you NOT to give them ANY business.
The food is average. The service used to be better but seems to have gone down in the past year. Also, if you're looking to stop in when you're extremely hungry - not a good idea. This establishment takes a very long time to prepare its food.
Excellent food and the service has improved a lot compared to a year back. Definitely worth a try....
The seikh kabobs are big, juicy and the best I ever tried out side of Canada.
Horrible service, with rude employees. Food is average, if you get it at all (I once waited 30 minutes before I realized they forgot my order. They insisted I pay for my drink which I only had 1/4 of). They do not provide much of what they have on their menu.
The best Bihari Kababs in Town (even Biharies admit that). This restaurant has excellent food, especially their BBQ items. They cook/prepared food after you place the order (so take it time). Good atmosphere, reasonable prices, nice customer service, defiantly recommended for individual and family outing.
The best tasting bbq and Pakistani food I have ever had - west of Pakistan. Their bihari kebob, kata masala and chicken karahi were simply out of this world.
The food is mediocre, until you find a hair in it. Yes, a hair was definately found embedded within my kabob. Eat at your own risk.
Nice little place for Bihari and several other Kababs. They serve a full menu with Pakistani and Indian dishes. Worth a try.
