The only place where you can get close to the kind of sandwiches we had at the Halal Deli that used to be on 36th and 8th in Manhattan. LARGE sandwiches toasted.. try the turkey and roast beef combo... WHOA

I picked Blu Ember at the Westin LGA simply because it was convenient before our flight—but it ended up being one of the best pre-airport meals I’ve ever had. Everything exceeded expectations: the food, the service, and the ambiance. We ordered a mix of dishes and every single one was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the burrata with heirloom tomatoes was bright and delicious, and the toro/uni bites with caviar were a true standout. Our entrées—from the seafood to the steak—were cooked perfectly and tasted even better than they looked. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. For a restaurant this close to the airport, the atmosphere is surprisingly upscale and relaxing—perfect for a calm meal before flying out. Whether you’re staying nearby or just want a great dining experience before heading to LGA, Blu Ember is absolutely worth it. I’d come back even if I wasn’t flying.
