Awesome halal Mexican/Afghan fusion cuisine. I have already been there twice, tried the cajun lamb burrito and the garlic lime chicken burrito. Their sauce is amazing as well. The manager/owner is super nice. Highly recommended.
I used to dream of halal Mexican cuisine and my wish has come true. Fresh, filling, and very reasonably priced. I've already been to this place twice in the same week and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Customer service is top notch. Highly recommended. Make sure to bring cash.
Really fresh, tasty and filling! We had the cajun chicken burrito and garlic lime steak burrito... Both were really good with unique flavors and definitely more than enough to fill you up. 5 stars for great food and great customer service. Only caveat- cash only ( they have an atm machine in the restaurant in case you forget)
We really wanted to have non-desi food on our trip and went here for lunch. This is a small restaurant run by a very pleasant Afgan gentleman. The decor is typical pizza-shop, however it was clean. The food however was amazing. I had the BBQ beef burrito and my wife had the Cajun lamb one. The kids had plain chicken burritos. The burritos were delicious. I wanted to sample other burritos, however the portions were so big that I did not have any space! This was certainly the culinary highlight of our trip.
Nice food, nice owner, reasonable prices, and they have a parking lot. This place is where my 6 year old began her love affair with nachos. If you are into Mexican/Afghan food then The Hot Shop is the place.
This is an amazing restaurant with amazing food for an astonishingly low price! MashaAllah! The owner is also extremely kind, generous, and pious Muslim man who runs the restaurant with the help of his family. May Allah reward him! The only thing that could be improved at this place is if the owner would begin accepting credit and debit cards. Currently it is cash only.
Excellent Restaurant, Clean, Humble Owner, Halal Burritoes ..what else can you ask for A++
It should be noted that this is a Mexican/Afghan restaurant, which is just one of the reasons that -- to me -- this place is a little-known treasure. The lamb burritos are astounding. The Afghan food, unlike so many in the Bay Area, is affordable. I spoke to the owner about the halalness of the meat, and I feel certain that it is halal. Only lamb, beef and chicken are served, which to me is another sign.
