I had the worst food poisoning the next morning after eating here. There is a big halal sign on the window but I was immediately doubtful after all the idols on the wall and throughout the restaurant. Also, they do serve alcohol here. I didn't want to eat here but I was with a friend and we had gone somewhere else and they were closed and I was fasting and she was concerned about me because it was past iftar time. Anyways, I certainly will not be back here. The biryani seemed old and the meat looked old, too. We tried other dishes and they were not all that great.

This is one of the best Indian food I ate this week after a ver bad experince in San diego with one of the Indian restaurant's, Mashalla this one was a real restaurant with real food, The owners were not Muslim but Mashalla they know how to run a restaurant busines. Great service very polite customers service vs the place no name but in san diego. We would like to see more business serving Halal food and respecting . Good job we will be back

This place was alright. My arab palette isn't super sophisticated when it comes to north vs south indian fare, I just know what I like. We had their standard chicken tikka masala and korma dishes, and they were just ok, nothing special. the CTM tasted overly buttery to me, and not spiced enough, while the korma was a bit on the bland flavored side. If this stuff matters to you, yes there were hindu idols around the restaurant, and it does seem like the owners are hindu. they also sell alcohol here. however, they did have all kinds of signs indicating the meat is halal. I personally loved the old Asian Kitchen which used to be here, and I'm bummed that it's not around anymore. Overall, I'd call this current restaurant "just average"

we were pleasantly surprised to see a kerala owned restaurant in the area. The owner was very hospitable and the food was really good. Tried the chicken tikka masala which was refreshingly different in taste compared to the usual fare in most south asian/indian & pakistani restaurants. Their kabob wrap was also good.

The food is great......Service is really nice as well. The owners are NOT Muslim, but have confirmed that the meat is Zabihah. I just don't like the set up as their are idols and pictures of Hindu gods throughout the restaurant.

They have a great combination of northern and southern style Indian food. The service is excellent, very polite and you don't have to wait for more water.

I didn't see any hindu idols? The owners were so nice and accomodating (Sobhanallah they were nicer than 90% of Muslim restaurants I have been to). They even had a special iftar buffet set up for any Muslims who were dining, so that they wouldn't have to wait for food. They also brought us some free apetisers. For the kindness of the owners and for the beautiful decor I have given them a high rating. Food is average though.

Assalamu alaykum, This is a nice place. It used to be a Pakistani halal restaurant with excellent chicken tika masala, but now it is owned by hindus I believe. The food however is really good. They say the meat is halal and they show you a little Qur'an writing next to the hindu statue"¦which I found very disrespectful. I ate the vegetarian dishes just to be on the safe side. Expect hindu idols. The service was really nice.
