Having read some good reviews I was almost decided to go to this restuarant with my wife but then I saw the menu and they serve pork readily. They may claim to have halal chicken/meat but can they guarantee no cross contamination? Having worked in the fast food chains as a student, I know vegetarian burgers are only vegetarian as far as patty is concerned. There is a lot of cross contamination. Coming back to my point, the servers and chef are not muslim in this restuarant so how can we trust just because they buy chicken from a halal butcher? I leave my fellow muslim brothers and sisters to decide...Alhamdulillah for me, I found an excellent Thai/Singaporean restuarant in Walthamstow called Thainese. Perfect ambience, great food and certified Halal (HMC certified outlet).

Organised work dinner and found it exceptional. Great variety and excellent quality. Particularly recommend chilli beef.

One of the most beautiful restaurants around and food is nice especially their pad thai. Shame they sell pork.Would like to go again but would have to save as it is very expensive but I suppose it needs to be to keep up with the beautiful surroundings.

from the outside it looks a bit drab, but once inside its like a mini oasis, very peaceful and relaxing. food very good to, shame they had to sell pork!

Excellent place to bring the family or wife for a special treat. Definitely the most beautiful and exotic looking restaurant décor you will ever see! Looks like a normal plain restaurant from the outside, but inside there are small ponds and streams full of fish interweaving throughout the restaurant! The food is nice and authentic Thai and gives a break away from the usual currys. They also have Aligator on the Menu! would have tried that if it was halal! We paid £90 for 2 people, and had abit of everything from the menu. Very nice restaurant, good food and decent size portions, fantastic waiting staff, beautiful indoor decorations. Defo worth a visit, and well worth the large hole wit will leave in your pocket!

Dear fellow muslims. I would suggest all of you to think carefully before eating in Blue elephant. No doubt the food is good, and the meats are halal, they do sell pork. And pork was served together in the same tray of the starters. Im not sure if pork is prepared separately, but because Im not sure, I stay away from it. Please bear in mind, they don't have separate 'Halal' staff to prepare halal food. May allah bless you all.

Hi all, I'm from Thailand. As far as I know about this restaurant is wife of owner is muslim. And Blue Elephant Restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand serve pork too. I never try or enter into this restaurant since there are still muslim restaurant (and also halal) out there. I will try to updated many muslim restaurant and foodshop in Thailand into this web for your information and stomach, Inshaallah.

Do they really serve pork? How is it halah then? Oh may be Zabihah pork,....! I guess

warning: I got in touch with the email on their website who told me that although the meat is halal, it is NOT prepared seperately from pork!

Its one of the most beautiful Halal resteraunts that London has to offer, the food is great and is the kind of place that you would go on a special occassion. Only negative point is that its very expensive.

Great dining experience, lovely food, courteous and attentive staff, opulent surroundings, but ridiculously expensive; a meal for 2 can cost around 80. A good place for special occasions.
