About Taci's Beyti

Taci's features dishes like lahmajun, pide (bread) baked with a custard-like egg and feta filling, Adana kebab (grilled on a flat skewer), Beyti kebab (round, and spicier than Adana), and Iskender kebab. Iskender kebab is the most elaborate kebab; actually a dish made with spit-cooked ground meat, the Doner kebab. Doner is the meat that is cooked on the big vertical spit (like Greek gyro) and served in thin slices. To become Iskender kebab it is layered on top of fried bread with both a yogurt sauce and a tomato sauce.

Delicious food.. cooked much better than most places. The place gets extremely crowded though, and it might be an uncomfortable experience if you're in a rush or don't feel like waiting.

Definitely one of the best Turkish places I've been to. But,not everything on the menu is Halal and wait staff (who are excellent by the way) will tell you before ordering.Loved the atmosphere.

Let's see - the wait staff is excellent. . . and that's the only think that is excellent. I can not say if the food is zabihah - however - when I went to order the sausage pide - the waiter told me that it is not halal (not even beef!). . . that is upsetting to think that they are cooking non-halal items with halal items . . The food is overpriced and the portions extremely small - and everything you have to buy separate (if you order the lamb saute' it doesn't come with rice - you have to pay extra). But again - the wait staff were very kind, friendly and were very patient with my three under 3 years old!

i dont remember exactly but about a year or so one of the meat products became "unhalaal". I think it was the chicken, i cant remember but the other meats are halaal. Have to ask to make sure.

Quite possibly the best Turkish food I've ever had, and I've been to Istanbul Turkey. Adana kabab and Iskander are wonderful. The salad with feta is exceptional. Service is good, restaurant/ambiance is very good. Highly recommended. EDIT: I've since heard that the chicken and liver are NOT halal. Everything else is however.
