Ate here recently. Tasted fine to us, normal kebab place. Was quite busy with locals, so must have been decent. Everything was halal according to the worker. note that in Rotorua there are other halal places but you need to hunt for it a bit. for instance some of the indian restaurants are partly halal.

the guy serving us was icky and we had our doubts about it being halal as well. My husband felt like vomiting after eating and he said it was the worst kebab ever eaten in New Zealand. he felt like running out of the place after seeing the kitchen but we thought we give it a go anyway

Zaika Kabab and Bakri is an ideal spot for halal food, especially if you’re a kabab lover. Along with delicious kababs, you can also enjoy authentic Indian and Pakistani curries, plus many more options. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. When you visit, don’t miss their garlic bread—it’s a must
