Terrible service by the female owner. She spoke rudely to all customers. We bought fish and chips, hoping they were genuine, as advertised. They tasted worse than store bought frozen fish. Chips were fries. My children bought fried chicken which tasted like fish. Website says opening time 11am. They did not open until 12pm. Very disappointed by my whole experience.

This is our home away from home, it's a small family run business. The food is great whether it's Pakistani or fried chicken. It's all home cooked food. Their must try is fried chicken, fish and chips, chicken Tikkah masala and their naans are just out of this world amazing. So happy we have this Resturant in danbury

We came for the buffet and it was not impressive. No forks and when I asked for one they gave me a plastic one. Last time we were there we asked for a kabab sandwich. Instead of telling us they dont serve it they proceeded to make their own strange version of kabab sandwich by taking salad and something like chapli kabab and putting it inside naan. It was not what we had in mind and we would have appreciated it if they had just said they dont serve it. I didnt see what was "extremely clean" about the place as other reviewers said. Ambiance was typical for halal restaurants, which means subpar by American standards. The table was rickety and kept moving. TV was on as if we were in a pub. They cant seem to figure out if they want to be a takeout joint for fish and chips, or a desi buffet.

This place is extremely clean, all desi food is pretty good but seekh and chapple kebob are excellent, the bread is the best, Prices on some Desi food are high, Customer service is sloppy and sometimes there are waits of upto 20 minutes. Overall, I would recommend going to this place. I will give it 3 stars if there prices were reasonable and customer was alway good, then they would get 5 stars

Great fish and fried chicken. Pakistani food is very delicious but costly. Amazingly clean place. Across from Danbury masjid makes it better.

I agree with the previous reviewer in terms of the "desi" food being one of the best I have tasted in a restaurant in not only the U.S. but also in London. However, the reviewer before me seems to not have realized that the restaurant does serve not only Pakistani/Desi food but also fish and chips and fried chicken, which is not only 100% halal, but also done in 100% canola oil and therefore healthier than you're average fried fish/fried chicken fare. So maybe the reviewer before didn't notice these other options (which are actually just as extensive as the Pakistani food offerings) and also includes things such as grilled salmon (YUM!). So there menu offerings are HUGE. And the Naan is the largest I have ever come across and freshly made there! I highly recommend this restaurant in terms of food. The service could handle being a bit friendlier but then again I have yet to receive truly friendly and inviting customer service anywhere in Danbury, so that's that.

Because of my travelling job, I have been to almost all of major cities in USA. I always look for good South Asian restaurants. This is by far one of the best "desi" food that I have had. It used to be just a Fish&Chips place, but they completely changed it to a Pakistani menu, without changing the name. So the name is misleading. It is run by husband and wife, so you get a home-cooked kind of a taste. Everything from Kabobs to Biryani to Haleem and many more dishes - are excellent. As far as "Halal" is concerned, it is not only 100% but I would say 1000% Halal. They are extremely careful that the animals are hand-slaughtered and not machine-slaughtered-halal, even if it is more expensive and hurts their bottomline. This is something that you cannot say about many halal restuarants. So go try it out. You will not be disappointed and maybe you will write your own review here.

Great place to eat out. Lot of variety. Truely the best fish in town. Decent prices and very clean place. Food is always hot and made upon order. Highly recommended for a very different and delicious taste of chicken and fish.

I have been a long term fan of Fish and Chips, but the rekindled enthusiasm and reopening of the place has taken it to the next level. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is courteous and sensitive to the needs of customers and quality of food is excellent. A special treat are the daily-specials that keep on changing frequently. Biryani and Nans are our favorite. Kids like the fried chicken. Fish is always fresh and the best! The restaurant has a decent customer base, but it does need the support of the local community to keep on providing quality food and cater to the needs of Muslims in western Connecticut. Great place for dining out.

Five Stars Newly opened halal restaurant is one of the few fully-halal restaurants in the Fairfied area. An excellent spot for families, it has a cozy décor with bright and cheerful walls. Royal Guard is unconditionally recommended by us. The owner prepares the desi meals including tandoori dishes, chicken biryani, seekh kababs, and even the nans herself, this makes it a worthwhile experience. If you're looking for a very tasty and reasonably priced halal meal, this is the place to go to. A long awaiting customer. A+++++ Congratulations to the owners!

This is a Fish & Chips place, but they've also started a Halal menu with chicken burgers & fried chicken. Their fish is definitely one of the better ones in USA.
