About Nanking

Welcome to Nanking Asian Fusion, the premier choice for Indian, Chinese, and Thai cuisine. We offer our guests the experience of the hospitality of this ancient city of China! Nanking is a city about equal distance from Canton and Peking. In 1842, after Nanking was captured by the British, Sir Henry Pottinger signed the Nanking Treaty. What followed thereafter was an era where many places to eat opened up for visitors to enjoy the hospitality of this region. The food was modified to suit the palette of the visitors and entice them to come back for the cuisine. This "Fusion" cuisine became very popular.

100% Doubtful, there is a buddah temple inside and alcohol served as well. I strongly recommend zabihah.com to remove this restaurant from their listings. I request all muslims no to go to this restaurant, and Royal Tangra masala is also 99% doubtful. If zabihah.com wants to serve the muslim community sincerely, then I would suggest they should have their representatives in all states to visit the place and verify things like the restaurant's meat supplier and the owner etc. If you can't do this then please don't try to decieve muslims by letting anyone add his restaurant in your listings as a halal restaurant. Thank you.

The place is beautiful, the food is just ok, the prices are well, a little high. One or two items on the menu are good.

This place is definitely IT for ambiance and atmosphere. There aren't a lot of halal restaurants that would be considered romantic so on occasion the price is worth it. Yes it's irritating that rice isn't included so I never order dishes that need rice. The fried rice dishes and noodles are pretty good. The toffee banana dessert is not to be missed!

No halal sign and served alcohol. I was disappointed with the food and service. Especially since I was hoping to enjoy a good meal and found out is was not that good and the price was not worth it. I agree with some of the other reviews- why was there no beef? Muslims eat beef so that should be on the menu or at least one dish. Muslims don't drink alcohol yet that was on the menu. I don't get it. I must be missing something. makes me wonder ;-) Make your own judgement.

I thought the food was average. It has a unique ambiance, pretty fancy by halal standards, but I wasn't really impressed by the food. They do have a wide variety, having both east Asian and south Asian options. They also seem to serve alcohol.

Nice tasting food, spoke to the owner himself, who assured me it was Halal. Nice decor, only seen similar looking restaurants in England. Very chic, also pricey. Great for couples. Have ordered take-out from here too & you can ask them to spice up your food (I ordered it, at its hottest), little did i know (even with a tongue & stomach immune to chilli), that i would be breathing fire. When we went back & ate in, I ordered hot again, but it wasn't as hot as my take-out. Still, really good tasting food & a great menu. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

This place is great for dining out. Very fancy and very expensive, but it's worth it when you want to have a nice formal dinner. Be ready to spend at least 50 bucks for dinner for two people. Ideal for couples. Now about the food, the food is also very good. The menu has variety and it reminded me of Meikong(Chinese place in Pakistan). The decor is also very nice, sets you in a good mood. The food is Zabihah Halal. I eat only Zabihah Halal, and from my experience this is by far the most formal dining in the US. Love this place.

this place is super chic in terms of decor and super cheap in terms of portions...no rice with the meal? the appetizers were great and i don't think that you can go wrong with any of them. the meals were ok and i think that you are paying just as much for the decor as you are for the food. but all in all this is not your run of the mill halal place as this is an actual formal restaurant. very nicely decorated

Chinese food with a desi twist. Similar to Tangra, but I feel Nanking does a better job. The food is exceptional in my opinion. You get what you pay for - expect to dish out around 20 bucks a head. They swindle a few extra dollars out of you because you have to buy rice separately. The decor is best I've ever seen for a desi place though - pretty upscale. Be sure to check out the bathroom downstairs. If your wife complains about you always taking her to run-down, cheap halal food joints take her here - the atmosphere is a nice change.

I have to say I went in with lots of expectations because they said they said they served chinese food the food was anything but chinese. I was speechless when I went in and I saw a full bar that you can look at as you walk in. they only serve chicken. There is no beef. We ordered chicken lo-mein,broccoli chicken and a side order of veggie dumplings and fried chicken. Aside from the fact that I got the wrong chicken, I must say everything looked like Indian food, it did not taste good and now I have a stomachache. I really would not recommend this restaurant. By the way no HALAL Sign at the door and when I ask about why they sell alcohol the guy just smiled, like he did not understand the question! I feel that I was tricked because this is not Chinese food at all :(

Asked 2 staff members in person about the meat being zabihah halal as well as once over the telephone and they all said yes. I did not see a halal sign in the window or on the menu. The decor of this place was exceptional and very exotic looking with very comfortable plush chairs. The food is expensive here, expect to pay around $20 a person. I had the chicken egg rolls for appetizers and they were good. However, the main menu of sweet and sour chicken was not very appetizing. I also tried the BBQ duck which was crunchy and not that good (tbh i never had duck before though). I also dont understand why I had to pay an extra $4 for "jasmine rice" which is the same large grained, clumpy, undercooked plain white rice offered at other chinese restaurants for free. Although there is no alcohol on the regular menu, there is a full alcoholic menu on tables, with a bar and many customers were drinking. I'm not sure if I will be coming back.
