DECEMBER 2023: PARTIALLY HALAL. With all the conflicting statements here, and time elapsed between reviews, we called them to confirm halal status. They told us that the chicken is always halal, but the beef may not be halal depending on the week, due to costs. This is a deal breaker for many of us, but I appreciate his honesty. Food is a great takeout option for indo chinese and there are plenty of vegetarian options as well.

The food not being halal is NOT a rumor. Yes they do get a very very little quantity of Chicken and may be goat from American Halal but NOT all their meat therefore mixing halal with non halal meat does not make this place a halal serving establishment. Plus the owner took down the halal sticker from the entrance as well, WHY? Rest is up to to the muslim community of they would still like to go and eat there, it is between them and Allah SWT.

**January 24, 2020 Again someone is spreading the rumor that this restaurant does not serve halal meat. Due to this, I contacted them by phone today and spoke to the lady who takes orders and the one who cooks the food. Both confirmed that the meat is halal and that the owner goes to purchase it himself. They are at a loss as to why anyone keep slandering their restaurant, but they have repeatedly and vehemently stated that they serve only halal meat. These rumors need to stop. I have their American Halal receipt from 12/05/2019 as proof.

Food is no doubt delicious and I would go back here anytime. However the meat being served is not Halal. Meat used to be purchased from Halal suppliers, lately the owner has himself mentioned that the meat is not purchased from hala meat suppliers.

DO NOT EAT HERE. FOOD IS NOT HALAL PER OWNER. Owner does not purchase meat from USA-Halal.

This place never disappoints. One of the best Chinese food. I drive more than two hour to eat here. Place is small but the food is awesome. I have been eating here for years.

Great good. Absolutely amazing. Reading past reviews definitely makes me feel management/ownership has changed recently. Service was good as well. Great place to eat if you want something quick. Yes the place is tiny but if there is a wait for seating then I would definitely wait. Had the chicken 65. General Taos. Devils beef and noodles. Will go back soon.

when they say tiny they mean this place is TINY. The bathroom is in the kitchen behind the curtain so thats a downer. The food is way overpriced and the portions are small. My server was a girl wearing short Daisy Duke shorts more fitting for Hooters than a halal joint. However, I will say that my General Tso chicken was very tasty, but the table next to me had a customer complaining there was something in her food and they had to send it back to the kitchen. If I am very hungry and for some reason I found myself way out in the suburbs I may go again.

Very nice place to eat, though small and not spacious, but the person is very nice and friendly. Food is great as well. We eat there almost alternate week ends.

I have eaten here twice. Once catered, the other most recent time I actually went to this restaurant. It's really easy to miss off manchester road because it's really small. You are literally 3 feet from the kitchen. Their Chicken 65 and Manchurian Beef were really good. The Orange Chicken was alright. This is more like a chinese restaurant and not like the indo-chinese that you get back home. Not sure if I would sit down to eat here again but I will definitely order take out if I am in the area.

Decent Chinese food. I was a bit unnerved that they covered the window to the kitchen with a sheet. I always prefer transparency but perhaps they didnt want to expose diners to the kitchen sights and sounds? The place is small, so I'll stick to that excuse. But the glass of water given to us was a bit dirty. I think they can do better.

They said it's halal and we took their word for it. Food is very good, large portions, good price. The place is very small, if you have a large group of people make sure to call ahead.

This place is nice, small but very friendly. As far as i know its the only Halal Chinese Rest. in Saint Louis. The look is also good.

This place is halal. They get their meat from Mideast. The food is excellent.

I don't know about halal meat because owner is not muslim food ok but not very clean place to cook you have to walk throuhg the kitichen if you like to use bathrom .

Good fusion style chinese food. Extensive menu at reasonable prices. Limited seating, but clean. Friendly staff.
