We had some take out from here recently. It was excellent. My wife had the goat biryani and I had the chicken 65. We both loved what we ordered. Portions were huge too. The food is spicy so if you don\'t like a lot of heat you may want to ask them to tone it down.

I was visiting Minneapolis and on my way out of city decided to try Kaboob. The place is small with 4-5 tables and not that clean. But the food was good. The service was ok and I think they were trying to do the best with what they have. Taste is more Indian style then Pakistani but overall a nice place for take away.

Small, well maintained (South Indian, Tamil speaking) family owned business. From the owner, all meat served is halal. Food taste and quantity is good. Chicken Biriyani ($8.99) and Naan was good also.

During Ramadan 2012 on 28th day I went to this kabobs restaurant. I was charged $9.99 incl. tax and I got a plate of chicken biryani. I asked if it is halal. Fortunately the owner was present and said he brings from restaurant depot. They have a halal section and not halal section. I do not know if that Is true. I ate there so I believe that the owner is correct on zabihah halal. That charge is too much for a plate of chicken biryani. In Columbia heights there is a restaurant which gives buffet for the same price. I will never go to kabobs again.

I am out of towner who simply wanted good reasonably priced food. Another place that takes 1 or 2 kabobs, chop them up into small pieces, and rake people! Also nothing else is included with the kabobs, not even a piece of pita. I am surprised that people in Minne think this is acceptable! They should visit Devon or Gerrard!

went to a wedding of a girl we grew up with and her wedding and walima was catered by kabobs... unfortunately the food tasted like cardboard... I felt sorry for the bride because this was the most special day of her life and everything was perfect at the wedding except for when the food came out... I went to the walima and heard all the bad reviews of the food from the wedding night before...i told my wife if kabobs is catering again im going to eat at home... i dont want to be mean about my review but i do not want another muslim brother or sister to get taken advantage of... needless to say this is not the first time ive recieved bad food from kabobs.. i just felt I had to say something cause this was the last straw...

We were at the Bloomington location earlier today. Quality of food is about average or below. If you are from Deccan, India or have eaten (Hyderabadi - Deccani) Biryani, you will realize that what is served here is not even remotely close to it. If you are traveling with your family (spouse and kids) then this is not a place to sit in and eat. Even otherwise, there is no Air Conditioning in its modest sitting area which in itself can use some good cleaning. The remarks for "Halaal Authenticity" in the header of this page claims "Owners are known Muslims". However, the workers (waiter and cook) are non-muslims from Hyderabad, India. Please note, this in no way eludes that the food is not Zabihah/Halaal, on the contrary when inquired, prior to ordering, the same was confirmed. In light of the above, the price of food is certainly not "$$" but "$$$".

Very small Restaurant but.... Very great taste. I wonder who are the cooks? Great food, unforgettable experience. MG and Bloomington both are tough to be the best.

The Kabobs (The Kabob's) is a fantastic Indian restaurant to dine-in and for the lunch-buffet, located at three prestigious places of Minnesota 1. Bloomington (Main Branch, Started in 2006) 2. Kabob's Maple Groove and 3. Kabob's-Minneapolis. 'Gavidae Common' Food court, Downtown. (Started in August) Kabob's known for its mouth-watering and lip smacking Indian food, is gathering the attention of huge crowds especially at the downtown which has become at 'Center of Attraction' for those who have a crush on savory delicacies. At the Kabob's Downtown, the lunch buffet usually starts at 11 AM and extends up to 3:00 PM(Monday-Friday). Hurry, as the huge crowd, would leave your appetite incomplete!

There is no place to sit properly. It is very crowded into small place. The food quality and taste are very poor. The quality of service is very poor. There is parking available. The food is too spicy to palate

Their CHICKEN 65 was great! Their kabobs (chicken, seekh...) were very tasty. Although their Haleem had cashews in it once, and I'm not a big fan of nuts in my haleem! Nihari, Biryani was good too. Their karhayi gosht was like onions and gosht - not that great. I feel like their dishes change a bit, where one day it'll be excellent, but some days the food will taste a little different. They stopped doing halwa/puri on weekends! Recommend it for carrying out, seating area is VERY limited. Their bathrooms could use a little more cleaning!

The food is here is delicious. I used to go there almost daily when I lived in MN. I had everything on the menu other than the Kabob's and its all very good. I didnt think much of the Biryani though. Its a small place, and mostly a take-out facility.

Nice friendly environment. Food is good. Try their karahi chicken or their chicken biryani. Small seating space available, a good take out spot. Prices are reasonable.

I have tried this place after reading these reviews and found out that this place is a waste of money. I took my family there and we all get disappointed. Kabobs are the only dish better than others. Rest of the stuff is either frozen or smells funny. I requested for goat karahi but goat meat was mixed with lamb. Price is cheaper than others but it is not everything when you drive four hours to get our traditional food. I am disappointed.

Nice humble place. Recommended for take out only. Food is very good. Recently featured in City pages, the place was packed with people. Menu is quite varied from Kabobs to Hyderabadi Biryani, Pakistani beef Nihari. Halwa puri on the weekends. Must haves are the crispy Veg, chicken and the beef samosas. Everything served is Halal.

A small family maintained restaurant (only a few tables) but the food was great. Not all items listed on the menu were available. Server and attendant were very friendly. A recommended place for carry out.
