Fort Wayne Halal Meat & Grocery

This clean, friendly store is my preferred market in Fort Wayne. Owners and employees are helpful, courteous and knowledgable. Their goods range from the Eastern Balkans and Levant through Southeast Asia.

New owners. They\'ve owned it about 2 years. Very professional, fresh food with a REAL BUTCHER! with skills & knowledge to choose and cut meat for many cultures\' dishes. So clean too. HUGE assortment, every person will find something. They even have Bosnian food! Everything is halal, no questions! Other shops carry a mix, which can be confusing, if I\'m at a halal market I want it to be 100% halal. If you come at the right time there\'s even fresh somosas! As well as boxed meals. Check them out.

Most of the meat is frozen, but of decent quality. Much better than the previous meat store in Fort Wayne. The ground beef patties are as good or better than I've found in non-halal markets. I buy the bulk chicken leg quarters and they are very well priced and of good quality. The beef I buy is boneless and TOO LITTLE fat for my taste.

They have a decent selection of non perishables, but all of their meat is frozen. Most of the time when you get it home, you find mostly bones and fat- with little meat (Almost seems like leftovers) Also tried to tell us that you cannot find stores that sell fresh halal meat anywhere in America (there's a shop 2 blocks down the road) Children are often there to help- but are spending more time watching tv than trying to be helpful. Not recommended if you can make it 2 more blocks to the shop down the street.
