biryani is sooo yummy!
Came here on a weekday at 7.30pm. The restaurant was completely empty except for two other patrons at a table who were not eating but talking non-stop to the waitstaff. We ordered 2 plain rice, one mysore mutton (not even 4 pieces for $12), brinjal, a hot lime and a milo. Also took away a chicken biryani. Total came up to $58. Portions are very very small. When we ordered a mysore mutton, staff informed us that for 2 pax we should get a large portion as the small would only be 4 pieces of mutton. Looking at the photo, I cannot even make out 3 pieces of mutton. We asked for extra mutton masala on the rice and staff obliged. However the service is quite poor. One staff was just talking to the other table throughout, even sitting with them at the table. The staff who served us did not even give us menus. He asked us, “What do you want? Only biryani we have”. This is not my first time coming to Islamic, I’ve been coming for years and sad to say the standard has dropped. The empty restaurant is testament to this.
