This owner here is a rip off, he sold me chicken entree for 22 dollars and when he was putting chicken pieces on the stick, there was a piece that looked big and he cut that in two pieces. Unbelievable, the whole time for the half hour that I was there he kept complaining how expensive lamb and tomatoes and everything is. This is a really low profile store which sells food and his prices are more than what they are on the menu? On his menu chicken entree is for 12 bucks and he charged me 15. I still bought food from him ONLY because he's Muslim. I will never come here again.

I just called the restaurant to confirm that yes, they do serve zabihah. I am so excited! My non-Muslim friend suggested this place to me, and I've gone with her several times after work, only getting the seafood or vegetarian dishes, and eyeing the chicken. Now that I know it's halal -- and that's it's actually opened on a Monday, I am going there now for some take-outs! The dishes I've tried are awesome, so I can only imagine what the chicken/beef ones are like!

Good food, a little on the pricey side. A wide selection of deli style dishes. The owner is also a very nice guy, maa shaa' Allah.

My wife and I recently went here for a mean on Eid al-Fitr. The owner was very kind and helpful and the food was delicious! The prices are a bit steep for the amount of food, but the variety of dishes and succulent meats make it worth it. I'd definitely recommend this eatery if you're in the area!

Me and my wife drove there the other day. The owner, Ali, confirmed that the food is Zabihah. I agree the place does not has the best ambiance, however let there be no doubt, the food is amazing. The decor is more like a cafe/deli, with a few tables. Best to takeout. I tried the Filo Chicken with some Persian rice, and was left licking my fingers. Fresh out of the oven, it was one of the best I've had. MY wife tried the chicken Kabob, and after having a bite of that, I was hoping I had more room to eat that too. p.s. I recommend to save room for the Persian Rice Pudding. Simply put, great food, good service, however best for takeout. They do catering too.

I was visiting Philly on business and called this "restaurant" to confirm its halal authencity, the owner was rude and said "I'm a muslim and thats all you need to know". Dont be misled about this place being a restaurant, its more of a cafe with few table/chairs. Go at own risk!

We really love this place. The food is excellent and the owner is a wonderful person. He takes a great deal of pride in making everything. The food is very fresh, portion sizes are large. Interestingly, his saffron rice and lamb dish won a philly-wide cookout on taste recently.

VERY VERY VERY GOOD FOOD! This restraunt has a variety of sooooooo many things to eat from many different countries. (greek pasta, chile, tandoori chicken, etc..) The Choolu Kabob is very good and so is the The chicken kabob! If you want some good Iranian food, this is the place to go to!
