I can’t really complain about anything. The room was spacious and regularly serviced with tea and coffee. The staff even cleaned the cups every day (except on weekends). If you have time to shop at the nearby FairPrice supermarket and cook in the kitchen, you can save a significant amount of money. What really saved me was the washing machine. In Singapore, your clothes quickly soak up sweat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent. The FairPrice supermarket was the second big lifesaver — it has all the important toiletries and small packs of laundry detergent. The breakfast buffet is diverse and offers good options for Asian, European and American tastes. The coffee and tea were excellent. The location is excellent — just a short walk from Orchard Road, the famous shopping street, as well as Fort Canning Park, the National Museum, the National Gallery and Clarke Quay. Between the hotel and Orchard Road you’ll find plenty of fast food restaurants with different cuisines. I used the fitness room several times. The equipment doesn’t quite match the standards I have at home, but it’s perfectly adequate for maintaining a routine during a longer stay. The staff were friendly and always helpful whenever I had questions. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna. I didn’t try the sauna, but the open-air pool was refreshing and convenient. I highly recommend Orchard Grand Court and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
