I’ve been visiting this chicken shop for years and it has never disappointed. The fried chicken is easily some of the best I’ve had. The coating is incredibly crispy and full of flavour. I’ve even tried hinting to the owner about how amazing it is in the hope of getting the recipe, but they are keeping that secret safe, which is fair enough. Sometimes I order the chicken purely for the crispy skin because it is that good. The classic chicken roll is another favourite. It is always packed with plenty of chicken and tastes great every time. The prices have only changed a couple of times in the past ten years, which is pretty impressive. The fried rice is also delicious and it often ends up in my order. The gravy is worth mentioning too. It is rich, tasty and perfect poured over hot chips. I probably come here about three times a week, which might explain why I am putting on weight, but honestly it is worth it. This is a highly recommended chicken and chips shop in Moonee Ponds with consistently great food and great value.
