This restaurant has been authorized Halal by an Islamic organization. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
It's a huge halal supermarket plus they have hot food selection. However, they have no seating area, only take out.

I guess this place is now owned my new owner. Its organized. Now whenever i go their i find so many snacks and food from back home which i miss over here. I took off 1 star because its kind of expensive than other halal grocery places around.
Extremely unorganized and unfriendly staff! Aisles are blocked and items are randomly placed. On top, half of the items have no prices on them making it extremely inconvenient for the customer. Staff are also not friendly if asked about anything. I will rather go somewhere else.
I do find myself agree with rest! not good!
Never again!
I feel so bad for this place!
I will confirm what other ppl said! this place is bad now! Really sad!
This place is dead now! I still remember when the old owner were there Brother Mashoud! and Brother Rasmi Amous. No one know the source of the meat anymore!
Questionable Beef! As of 11/01/2012, no beef certification is posted anymore, even upon request multiple times. Previous beef certification was expired long time ago.
They were the biggest and best halal store that I went to, here in the United States so far.
I have shopped here for years. It has a good (and improving) selection of halal foods. The meat is fresh and cut and packaged the way the customer wants. There is a decent selection of vegetables that are priced relatively well. The only minor criticisms are that the prices aren't clearly labeled on all items and the store isn't as neat and organized as major supermarkets.
I visited this store on 3/11/08. They have the meat already prepackaged which made my shopping go by quicker. They have hot foods like samosas and fresh jabati too. Some items dont have prices on them so I ended up spending a little more than expected. They had everything I needed and more. Its a warehouse not a grocery store, so dont expect the ambiance of a supermarket. Location is right off of 75N so it made it very easy to find considering I was from out of town.
I shopped at World Food on 12/30/2007. It is a pretty big size Desi / Mediterranean grocery store. They have pre-packaged Halal Zabihah fresh meat available all the time. You can also order on phone or you can go in the meat shop area and get your meat prepared in front of you. The butchers are friendly and will get you the meat the way you want it. They also have all other desi groceries available. PROS: (1) Location, store is very close to Hwy 75. (2) At checkout counter, every thing is scanned to get the price (like in Wal-Mart and other big stores) so the chance of cashier's mistake is reduced considerably, unlike the other small desi stores where they have to enter price manually in the register. On the receipt, every thing is listed with its name and price. CONS: (1) Prices are not marked on every item so you have to take the things to counter to check the price (2) Groceries are a little expensive than Chicago and New York (3) Store is not kept very clean.
