With everything that's happening to children right now, one wonders why school bus drivers aren't allowed to drop children off as close to their homes as possible. It's shameful to leave young children with heavy backpacks on poorly lit and sparsely traveled roads. Kudos to the decision-makers who clearly don't think things through, and think very poorly at that.
