I have a soft spot for this restaurant. I had finished performing at the Pia Bouman School a couple of blocks east of this restaurant and I wanted to treat myself. Two days of shows that proceeded a hectic rehearsal schedule and I wanted to eat till I slept. And then out of nowhere I found this restaurant. It had been YEARS since I\'d had mutton curry and parathas that were THAT good. I was so happy I even had mango ice cream and then the following week I became adventurous and had my first ever duck curry from here as well. It\'s a good thing I don\'t live close by or else I would\'ve been in no shape to perform. It was delicious. I don\'t remember much about service but I remember them being nice enough to explain how duck was different from other meat but still looked and kind of tasted like tender mutton and what sets it apart. So that was educational. And when they spicy, you better believe it, they make it standard but allow you to spice it up to your heart\'s content. Not like some other restaurants that no matter how much hot sauce you add even fried rice tastes like shredded apples.

Salam Aalikum, Historical for it's roti. been a while but loved 'buss up" roti. How to describe the flavour...can't ! Super good. And it was under $10 each. Yum

First time I ever had West Indian food in my life and it was wonderful. I had the jerk chicken with beans and rice and the taste was amazing.
Assalam alaikum, Ali's is the home of great Trinidadian (not Guyanese) cuisine at reasonable prices. Really everything is very good but for a special treat have the jerk chicken with beans and rice. MMMMMMM! Also, boneless chicken roti and doubles are great. Many people know Ali's from the CNE where they have become of mainstay in the food pavilion and a great option for muslins at the Ex to have halaal food.
Visited this restaurant a few times. Food generally tasty. Service not too good.
We are West Indian and must admit that they make some of the best West Indian food we've ever had! We have enjoyed everything we tried, especially the doubles and fried chicken. We personally know the owners and they are very hard working and nice people. We also place big orders with them for catering purposes. Their food has NEVER disappointed.
This is a Toronto staple for Muslim's and non-Muslim's alike. If you want West Indian food, it's hard to beat Ali's. All the food is fresh and is prepared only after you order your meal. Be weary of the spices...if you think you're a champ, ask for spicey - definitely not for whimps.
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. I had never had West Indian food before,so my friend suggested that we go here for lunch. This place is easily accesible by the TTC, and the food is excellent. We had the doubles as well as chicken roti. YUM. Thank you for your great food, and for a great first experience with West Indian food!1
