The food was fantastic. I had the samosa chaat ($5), the Goat Biryani ($12) and the goat curry platter ($10.50). Everything was very flavorful and I was surprised that the chaat was not stale like other restaurants in the area. The only issue I had was the crappy service. No one is at the counter or register for long periods of time. Also, you have to eat in flimsy paper plates and flimsy plastic utensils. For the price, you would expect better standards.
This is a Bangladeshi owned restaurant which is more of desi kind and also has an attached Rose Restaurant which caters the fast food. The food is good and the platter is a good option to fill your stomach which is for $8.
Great chaat and snack items. Their chai is also very good. Service was very fast and decent.
The service is becoming worse and horrible everyday, I went there last Sunday and it will be the last time for me. I asked for a plate but instead of a full portion of one item to use two small portion from two items and the lady gave me a nasty look and she said that I had to order two plates, what difference did it make to her and why whould I order two plates for myself ? I guess money is becoming their only way of life, they would rather loose the customer for ever than making him happy so he can come back or recommend the place. I used to recommend this place at work and ordered large orders but not anymore.
I eat here every day and I love it. The tandoori chicken is incredible (better now than before) and the kababs are the best I've ever had (i.e. very flavorful). I also enjoy their chaat, and veggie platters. On weekends, they have "khaaman" which is a steamed Gujurati cake that everyone should try. My friend told me that their shrimp biryani won at a Biryani contest last year, so that's also worth a try. Overall, the place is great.
WORST service ever! Never eat at this Bengali restaurant. I am Bengali and won't eat there. Cold food, it had bad smeels.
This place has horrible food! Bangali food is not very tasteful and service was horrible too. My family waited almost 2 hours for food to be served and they messed up the order. I will NEVER eat there again. Limited meat dishes.
food used to be good...but now the SERVICE is SOOO HORRIBLE! that i have stopped going! they are arrogant and rude whenever they like! shame! They are just ouside my apartment complex yet i do not go there.
The supreme burgers made up of shami kabab are really wonderful. You will also agree with the taste.
I think the food is great! I just went 2 days ago and I love how nice the staff was. Even though they were packed...and I had to wait a long time for the food...it was worth it. I had the Hydrebadi Chicken Biryani and it was very good! I just wish it was a little more spicy. Also, my waiter was so adorable! It was this very pretty little girl! She was so nice. The last time I went, I had this bearded skinney guy and he was also nice. I might go there tomorrow and try some thing else that is extremley spicy.
Food use to be better when first opened. Very limited selection, no beef dishes. Quantity of food with order has greatly diminished. Bad overall service. Best to avoid.
Great food...only problem is LACKS variety...they have the same ditto platters each and every day of the year! The Kebabs are really nice...!
cheap food. Was good when i went only tried the kebab and tikka roll but gooooooooood.
we've had a change of heart about this establishment, something has happened to make it go straight down the tubes the last couple months, first it was freezing, just yesterday i had the chicken tikka and sag panneer, both were poor quality, the chicken was too dry and the sag was too watery, i guess we should have mixed the two together and it would have been just right, anyway the staff was good, courteous
The first time we took out Biryani, it was really very good. The second time we had ordered Mutton Curry and a chicken dish. The quality was horrendous. We hate throwing away food however this time we sought forgiveness from Allah and it went into the garbage. The atmosphere etc is very nice...very nice people, but a restaurant is supposed to deal in food, and that is one element which we found poor.
This is a great place, it reminds me of the hole in the wall halal restaurants which we would frequent as college and medical students. This is the place you go for the food, not the decor or any sort of glitz. We felt safe in the neighborhood because it was like going back to our college campuses. Cheap too
can't wait to go back, great college atmosphere, food is awesome, cheap
Very nice place. Reasonable places. Authentic taste. This has become my regular neibhourhood takeout place.
i agree with Raghu. nice place to hang out. especially their Chicken Kabab is delicious..in fact, its awesome.
Its worth for the money that they charge. Their Chicken Biryani is EXCELLENT. For the last 2-3 weeks I've been going to their place every other day. So fat I have tried Chicken Curry and Mutton curry. Mutton curry is OK but Chicken Curry is delicious. Also their Platters are also good. And coming to snacks we liked their Aloo Tikki Chaat and Vegetable pakoda. Their Mirchi Bajji is not that great though.
For a small and family run establishment it is pretty good. The staff is very helpful and the food well cooked and tasty. Worth giving a try!
