This is a lovely spot if you’re after comforting Chinese + Peranakan halal food with authentic and satisfying flavors. The ngor hiang and grouper with their special sauce are truly fantastic; rich, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. Still, the real star of the table is the chicken rice, which stands out for its fragrant rice and perfectly cooked chicken that hits all the right notes. Don’t leave without trying their longan ice drink. Refreshing, lightly sweet, and the perfect companion to the meal. Overall, Rex MacKenzie delivers a warm, friendly dining experience that feels casual yet memorable, making it an easy place to return to.
