Opposite to Masjid Sultan. Singapore Zam Zam serves Murtabak, which is a kind of Indian pancake with chicken, beef or mutton stuffing. It is eaten with Indian curry. Singapore Zam Zam is located in a purple shophouse at the corner of Arab Street and North Bridge Road. Order a murtabak and roti prata (Indian pancake without the meat stuffing) and watch the chef work his magic on the hotplate at the front of the restaurant. A murtabak which feeds 2 persons costs S$5.

These ppl are busy! Especially in Ramadan during iftar time. It's a must see- how this place is soo crowded! Biryani is delicious and my visiting grandparents from Canada even liked it. Murtabak is a must try as well. Overall, fresh and reasonably priced food. Everyone in Singapore would know about Zam Zam! (and Victory) ;)
It's true that sometimes the touting and competition is a turn-off at times. But the food is really amazing. The Murtabak is really crispy with generous servings of onions, beef/chicken, just the way I like it. It's an old establishment but the place has undergone numerous renovations. The toilet is really another story. Excellent for food, but average for place.
Murtabak and briyani is very good and reasonably piced. But don't expect nice looking plates and cutleries!
Very well done murtabak although the unfriendliness and arrogance of the indian-'muslim' staff did not compliment the goodness of the foods. People skills needed in this place.
Nothin special about it.its nice to eat and filling are very generous.generally the murtabak stall beside it also well.its just the touting at times is a turn-off
The most famous murtabak in SIngapore. Just say Zam Zam an everyone will know where it is. Excellent!
Excellent. Speciality in Murtabak(lamb, beef, chicken) and briyani( chicken, mutton, beef).Variety of indian like dishes. Exotic. I would say one of the best in spore. Right opposite of a mosque. Very convenient.
Just ate here again after maybe over 15 years and their mutton murtabak and curry (comes together) still taste the same as it used to ☺️ The $12 portion is perfectly filling for 2 average eaters to share. Still very delicious and comforting; it’s layers are filled with a great amount of minced onions and minced mutton and the top outer layer has lots of minced mutton that has been cooked till parts of them are crispy. Still doesn’t feel oily. My only suggestion to make this meal perfect would be to cut the cucumbers thicker so that it adds the crunchy and refreshing element to the meal. A well-known and well-liked spot amongst locals, especially the Malay community, and a must-try local spot for anyone visiting Singapore. It’s busy most times, the ground-level looks humble and it’s kind of nice that they kept it that way; I’d rather the money go to paying their staff well and getting in good ingredients and maintaining the place. The upper level is made to look more like a restaurant and is air-conditioned but still has a casual atmosphere as there are lots of simple tables and chairs and you a range of groups of families or friends, to couples and individuals dining. Depending on where you’re seated and how okay you are with densely packed dining places, you might feel a bit cramped. It can get too loud if a large group with a lot of kids are present too. It is truly a casual spot and a good place to sit and eat and experience a bit of Singapore.
