Omg absolutely yummy malay food! Must try!
I went to both Jalan Pisang and Bencoolen's Hjah Maimunah to try it out. It is affordable but personally the service is not very good. You show them which dish you want and they scoop it for you -my friend had too much soup on her rice. For tourists who are tired and sweaty from sightseeing, queuing up and finding a table in a crowded place is not very pleasing. The food is a bit bland.
Ver good food, Mashallah. Good service for the rush they encounter during the crowded hours. Will be back when I visit Singapore! Love the padang style meals.
A must have in Singapore. WOnderful selection of food at affordable prices. Its sooooooo delicious that you will lick your fingers after eating it. I'm drooling juz thinking about the food.
The best Malay food in town just like home cooked. Price is affordable. It has a branch in Geylang just opposite Joo Chiat but its kinda pricey. Try the Rendang and Ikan Bakar...Yummy.
Next best thing to mum's home-cooked traditional malay cuisine. Very affordable, and the variety of dishes is amazing. And I especially love how they have a broad range of malay kueh, something I dont get to see being far from home. I never forget to visit this restaurant when I visit Singapore.
Authentic Malay/ Muslim food. Unbelievable selection at a very affordable prices. Highly recommended.
My family has been frequent customers of this restaurant for years. They offer excellent food in a semi-traditional Malay setting. A must-go-to restaurant whenever you're in town!
Best Malay/Muslim food in Singapore, the food is so delicious and tasty at very affordable price and the street side sitting arrangment is so good, so pleasent having your Lunch while watching thunderstrom or heavy rain, I love that place
This is the best Malay food experience in Singapore. Wonderful selection of tradition Malay delicacies as well. Should try the Ikan Bakar.
🤤 The taste is absolutely incredible! The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a sweet, savory sauce. The curry vegetables with tofu were also great, and the Ikan Bilis was the perfect crunchy addition! For my spice lovers, you MUST try their Sambal Belacan, but be warned, it is seriously spicy, yet so fragrant you can’t stop! 🏠 Despite the crowd, the restaurant is kept very clean and tidy. The ordering section and a small seating area are on the ground floor. If it’s full, you can head up to the second floor for plenty more seating options! 📍 Find it here: 11 Jln Pisang, Singapore 199078 (About a 10-min walk from Bugis MRT or Jalan Besar MRT). Final Verdict: 💯 Verdict: Long queue and slightly pricey, but for this level of authentic Malay/Indonesian flavor, I give it a perfect score! Definitely one of the best Nasi Padang meals I’ve had this year. If you’re in the Bugis area and craving local food, go for it!
