Wakas Mess

GREAT FOOD. Knew the place from an indian who give out flyers. Clean and very friendly services. Price is cheap compare to other places. We had steam rice with mutton curry,vegiesoup and few drinks. Only cost us HKD189.

The food and service was ok. The chicken and corn soup was not good. Big chicken pieces floating in corn mixed water. We were sitting comfortably under the fan. Soon after we got there a party of 15 people showed up and the server made us move to a corner table. It got really hot and humid in the corner. I will not go back to this place again.

Alhumdullilah, we visited the mess recently. The ambience is very simple and the service is excellent and courteous. We tired the mutton biryani, dal tadka, and tandoori chicken. The portions were ample and the food was not greasy.

I visited Sedique Mess recently and it was unfortunately closed. The staff told me the restaurant opens at 12:30 pm. The elevator does does not stop on the 6th floor and one has to go to the nearest floor and walk up/down. If the elevator line is long a climb up may not be too tedious.

Getting to Sedique Mess is a bit of a mess, because you need to queue up to get into the small lifts and more often than not, the queue can be rather tedious. The surrounding area is not very clean, though the Mess itself is well tended to. The food is cheap and cheerful, and rather tasty. It's mainly Indian/Pakistani food, though they claim to do Malaysian as well. We went there twice, and both times we had to take the stairs to go back down, since the lift would not stop on our floor. Despite the inconvenience, due to the price and taste, it's worth a visit.

EXCELLENT FOOD! We went there when we visited hong kong. its hard to find cause you enter the building (Chung King Mansion) and its not on the 2 floors with all the stores. you take the elevator to the 6th floor and then there is this like apt looking place. Buts its totally worth it to find. ALL the food is made fresh! we had lamb chops and curries and tandoori and naan. it was FANTASTIC! dont miss out on this place.. its a hidden treasure.

Good pakistani food. Clean compared to the rest of the restaurants in Chunking Mansion.

Excellent food, exceptional value and wonderful all round service. Highly recommended! Very hygenic compared to many others in the same area.

The worst food I have eaten in Chungking Mansion and for all my friends too. Photos of food we didn't eat. Chicken Tikka heavily marinated and charred to cover the old chicken (not fresh) Garlic Naan - one bite and I almost threw up because I could taste the dough probably 4-5 days old. Mutton Kadai - once again old meat that has no flavour, taste or texture. This is the kind of food that would give you food poisoning. Paid full bill despite not eating anything and raising the problem with the owner, instead of taking the feedback, he said everybody comes here to eat and we are spoiled to ask for more.
