Question-how can meat even be halal if it isn't totally cooked? Crown fried chicken is a running sad joke of Philadelphia, a tragic reflection on Philadelphia American Muslims in particular and on people of color in general. Often the chicken at this place is only cooked until it's pink-meaning the question is moot if it can be halal. Everything about this franchise hurts my heart to witness and makes me ill to eat. The reasons take from 1492 to 2011 to explain, but I don't have that long.

If one is really hungry or really desperate for halal fried chicken then give it a try...very very salty and not a very clean establishment.

Only the chicken items are halal. The chicken comes frozen in boxes certified halal. All other meats (beef burgers) are no halal; or at least this is what I heard from the owner. There are several Crown Fried Chickens in the city. The prices are incredibly cheap!
