Upstairs is okay for families but not the basement where the sheesha is served. I went there two or three times - once with my dad, my husband and my husband's dad and I still did not feel comfortable. Too many leering men wasting their time.

Abu Ali's is not my favourite place on (or just off) Edgware Road, the biggest complaint being the service. The food is pretty standard when it does arrive. The atmosphere is good as expected for shops in this area, and they also do sheesha for those that way inclined.

Brilliant. The food is good. Good value for money. Try the fresh fruit juices. After a hearty meal you can enjoy mint tea and shisha (apple please!). Probably the best place on Edgware Road.
