GoogleThere was a long queue. Saw the staff whisking fresh matcha. It was hot day and they offered us umbrella. How nice. Matcha was freshly made and we added mochi. Personally. I like the matcha ice-cream. We enjoyed the drinks at Sumida Park nearby.

GoogleEnjoyed the Matcha Latte, we ordered 2 latte - one with the matcha ice cream and another one with red bean. The latte itself is rich but not overpowering, mixed with a smooth taste ice cream it elevates the taste. I had the red bean, for me it's a good balance of matcha and red bean taste. I'd have it again. Worth the queue for 30 mins to get our orders, watch the staff prepare the matcha, whisk and pour in front of you. There is no seating or dine in, we found our way to the Sumida park, sat by the playground overlooking the Skytree with cherry blossoms budding.

GoogleI visited Hatoya and had a wonderful experience. Even though it’s a bit pricey, the taste is fantastic, with a slight hint of bitter matcha that any true matcha lover will appreciate. I ordered a matcha latte with strawberry jam topping, basically a strawberry matcha latte, and it was deliciously unique. They usually have long lines; I went on a weekday afternoon and waited about 30 minutes for our order, but it was worth it. The staff were very kind and even noticed that Indonesian visitors love recording the matcha-making process—super friendly and fun!

GoogleThis is the best matcha i've ever had in my life. I got the hojicha and blended matcha iced latte. I usually like sweetener in my drinks and asked for sugar, however they dont had a lot of sugar unless you ask but i didn't mind whatsoever. for the first time in my life i could actually taste the notes of matcha in my latte and it made the drinking experience amazing. The hojicha was bitter which i don't usually like but the flavor profile was of the hojicha was surprisingly pleasant despite the bitterness and i really enjoyed both drinks. The staff was really friendly and speak english which was a pleasant and welcoming surprise. i definitely recommend coming here for authentic and delicious matcha and hojicha. It was crowded and had a line but it went by pretty quickly and is worth the wait

GoogleI arrived 30 minutes before closing, but the staff were still very energetic and welcoming. Language is no issue here as the staff speak English; one staff member, Sharly, is mixed Colombian-Japanese, so Spanish is also spoken. I ordered the Iced Matcha Latte (their in-house blend of two matcha powders) for ¥800 and added strawberry sauce for ¥300. Be sure to ask about other seasonal fruit sauces as they change! It was incredible—honestly one of the best iced strawberry matcha lattes I’ve ever tasted. I even bought their matcha powder to take home. Conveniently, there is a dustbin located right in front of the store. They also offer takeaway desserts that are perfect as souvenirs. Overall, a must-try for matcha lovers!
