I just came here today and asked what meat is halal/zabihah. The employee behind the counter asked me what that is. I didn't see any clearly labeled halal/zabihah items. I was so hungry I ended up just ordering a cheese slice. Just a heads up my fellow Muslim foodies!
ok food... cashier was friendly but a little hard to understand.. upcharge for halal? $7.99 meal came to $9.89... i know dc tax isnt that much... anyways it wasnt a great experience but wasnt terrible either.. i'd probably only go back if i happened to be working that area again... fries were nice and crispy but lacked flavor, pepperoni pizza sub was ok , toasted with loads of cheese and pepperoni, soda was a 12 oz can........
OMA! Mashallah such amazing food. Their cheesesteak was just so good! Also had their meat lover pizza it was great, they don't sell any pork but they have 2 kinds of meat, Zabiha and non-Zabiha. You have ask for the halal/Zabiha meat for them to use the Zabiha meat. Employees were very nice, owner was even nicer showed us downstairs where there's a space set up for prayer.
Ordered a philly cheese monster sub. Very satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised. they even delivered to my place of work. This could be a regular spot for me.
Very nice people. The burgers, pepperoni, gyros, and a few other things are halal. I would ask before calling. The chicken wings are not.
I would recommend caution as well. They are very evasive about what is and is not halal. When my wife called once, they said they did not know what was halal, and she placed an order. When she called back to cancel the order, fearing the food was not halal, the same person she just talked to said that only the lamb used in the sandwiches was halal. The food quality is very good, and the pizzas are great, but I cannot tolerate lying. I eat meat other than halal meat, but my wife eats only halal, and we will not do business with an unethical company.
Questionable. I strongly recommend asking the staff which foods are zabiha (not just halal) *before* placing your order.
they arent zabihah. however they claim they are halal cuz they dont serve pork. dont fall for it. ask if they are zabihah!
