Used to be really good years ago. Quality of food became non-par and eventually stopped going to this place after hearing negative reviews.

Stay away from the cheese wontons! Might be edible after hardening in fridge. Singapore Chow Mei Fun was passable. Good amount of curry. Meats tasted boiled. Sesame Beef was mushy. Uninspiring. On positive side, hot, fresh, and quickly and courteously delivered.

Excellent place to sit in or take out. Prices have surged up in the past few years but still very reasonable. This is the original halal kitchen, their chicken schezuan and lamb teriyaki are a must try.

assalamu alaikum everyone. i want to everyone to know that i agree with the brother below me. i do not know if it is halal or not. however i do not trust it. i know the owner of the original halal kitchen. she has told me that that store is no longer under her control and has moved from there. zabiha now has to take a look into this matter to see if this is a halal place or not. until then brothers and sisters better safe than sorry.

THIS PLACE IS NO LONGER TRUSTWORTHY FOR HALAL CUISINE! Please take this post seriously. I don't have any personal relationship or personal grievances with these people. They are neither Muslim nor managed by Muslims. It used to be owned and managed by a Muslim convert who no longer owns and operates the restaurant. She has opened another location after the lease on this store had ended. However the new tenants decided to keep the name and the menu because they did not want to lose the customers. There is no such manager as Hasan. He is a make believe character. I hope I'm wrong but I haven't found anything or anyone that can prove other wise. Please spread the word around. Just call and ask to speak to Hasan and have him recite the Kalima and then show up and ask for halal certificate and you will find the truth.

This place USED to be good, then it seems the owners changed and so did the quality and taste.

The steamed chicken dumplings at this place is amazing, if only because of the dipping sauce it comes with. Other appetizers to try are the buffalo wings and the fried chicken (especially early in the day). In terms of entrees, try the chicken wings with garlic sauce.

Fatima's and this place are 2 totally different owners. The Maspeth location was originally owned by Fatima's and they are in Astoria now.

They are still located in maspeth. Fatima's Halal Kitchen is another chinese resturant owned by them (I believe). The food at this place is amazing. This is the best tasting chinese food I've had. The service, price, decor, and food is great.

I travel all the way from Virginia for the food here-a 4.5 hour trek one way. Anyway, it's cheap and cheery with food that has the superb authentic chinese taste. If you want the real deal and not the imitation "desi" chinese cooked by real chinese people this is it.

Everything here is good. I would also recommend this to non-muslims because it's better than the regular chinese places.

this is the best halal chinese place around. They have the best lunch specials - give the most food for the money, and the best quality food as well. couldnt be more authentic, couldnt be better.

I went to this restuarant and was very disappointed. I thought the food was bland. I was also a bit grossed out because I noticed two small dead bugs near the window.

The food is great, a nice take out place. Although they have seating and it is packed on the weekends.
