If you are looking for halal meat and groceries - that is Open Sesame, next door to Ali Baba's (which is a restaurant). Both separate business so I don't know why there is only one entree here. Open Sesame is a great shop ; I bought traditional groceries and some halal chicken, very friendly and welcoming owner.

Excellent arab chicken shawerma. Cooked so nicely. Takes a long time to prepare though so call your order in if you're in a hurry. Owners are practicing Muslims. Woman is a hijabi italian convert. Very nice lady. I enjoy supporting these types of businesses.

The other reviewers need to revisit Open Sesame and see the great selection of Zabihah Halal meats available there. I get my fresh chicken, beef, lamb and goat from them fresh and cut anyway I like, and I have never had any problems or complaints about the meat. I know that they are truly a 100% Zabihah meat market..I mean come on who wants to buy halal meat from non Muslim Asians or non-practicing Muslims that don't care if you don't eat halal meat or not? Visit them, give them a chance and you will be surprised! Also, they have a full Zabihah restaurant right next door that makes everything fresh! Delicious, delicious food, take the whole family because it's amazing and you won't be sorry.

Lol, was just told about this website today by a customer and came here to clarify a few things. As a manager at Open Sesame Market, yet to be confirmed by zabihah.com staff, we sell FRESH halal chicken, lamb, beef, and goat. Also, we have quail, rabbit, and turkey when they are available. We have a butcher on staff so everything can be cut anyway you like. Saying our prices are high? 99 cents for a pack of bread is too high a price? We don't bake the bread ourselves so i have to order it from California bakeries like most other stores. When I sell a box of bread, I make less than a dollar on it, lol, should I lose money? Speaking of which, I am opening up our bakery in about 3 weeks, sooooo that should help with the prices. The Layout of my store is very basic. Pickled items and glass jars can be found in aisle 1. Tea, coffee, rice and oil in aisle 2. I'm not gonna describe the whole store, but you get the point. All similar items are located next to each other. I just put in a produce cooler, so all veggies and fruits will be increased by a lot. Here at Open Sesame Market, we strive to serve your every need. If you come to the shop and can't find something, just any of us, we'll be glad to help you.

Variety of items but layout is poor and it's hard to find items. Fresh Halal meat available. Basic items like bread were overpriced. Good when you need to pick up something quick.

I found this place to be very expensive. The Arab owner's wife is a very sweet Italian lady who was very helpful. A lot of their meat is frozen, although they claim that it hasn't been in the freezer for long. They have a very very small selection of fresh meat. They do have everything else in the store (spices, lentils, etc etc.), and they have a very very small produce section...just a couple items.

Great selection of goods, including goods from Yugoslavia, Syria and many other places beyond the Middle East. Very nice halal meat, including lamb, beef, chicken.
