Mostly come here for sweets
Good
Stop in today to purchase Iftar items Chat papri, Samosas
Love their chaat mix and their food. Definitely my local go to for Paki food.
Best place to order chat papri
AWESOME choice of sweets! I fell in love with Shiney's sweets and love giving them as gifts to friends. Buffet items are always hot and fresh, and though its choices are limited, you can't beat the weekend buffet price of 7.99/person. Tandoori chicken is available as a buffet item on weekends. Space is tight, as they have limited tables, so be patient, come before/after dinner time, or order takeout to avoid a crowd.
Good
The best mithai in the region. Also love their Chat Papri.
I been to this place a few times. Real friendly staff. It's more of a snacks place like someone else said as well. Their samosas, chaat, etc was delicious. I had kabab rolls which were alright, and the paratha I've had twice and it has left a bad taste in my mouth and queezy feeling in my stomach.
I enjoyed the food, the sweets are really good, made fresh daily. You do need to be careful when they are ringing you up though, I have caught them adding extra charges to the bill and have stopped eating there for this reason.
I went there on a recommendation from friend. The buffet was poor, but the sweets were pretty good and the guys at the counter hospitable. However not sure about supporting Ghulam Ahmed.
Breakfast foods (Chat papri, Chanay Chat) and snacks are great. This is not a dinner place, this is a snack place. They have some food that is OK. 5 Stars for having the best Pakistani snacks in the DC area.
I love dropping by this place whenever I am in Northern Virginia. Great food for reasonable prices.
This place is cool. It serves plates as well as snack items. The sweets are cooked on-site. Try the chana samosa plate and for sweets you MUST try the Rasmalai--one of the best I've had.
The Good:sweets are good. The Average:overall the food was average. The Bad: Bihari kabab was spoilt and tasted sour. When pointed out, the server simply said this is what Bihari kabab is supposed to taste like! We were planning to visit for breakfast the next morning, not any more!
Hands down, this is the best place in town for mitahi (sweets). They seem to make them fresh everyday. Their food is average. However, they are one of the few (maybe the only?) desi restaurants in the area to serve breakfast (halva, chohle, and puri), which might be reason enough to go there for some food.
The food is good and the prices reasonable. Service is poor with shortage of help. It took us half an hour to get served. I would recommend the place for family gatherings because the place is big and comfortable. Sweets are also available and are tasty and reasonably priced. Overall a well run place to eat with friends or family.
I'm from Brazil and I never had Pakistani food before. Now, that I tryed, I go to Shiney's at least ones a week. The food it's really taste and the sweets are really good! Thanks for a friend of mine that introduce me this restaurant.
Great food. Not exactly the most classiest environment, but they make up for it by the quality of the food and friendly attitude. Don't judge this place by it's apperance, it's better than it looks.
I have been to this place a number of times, everytime with great enthusiasm. But I must say that the service is bad and have seen very rude behaviour after which i have just stopped going there. I am not too sure about food quality either. Food is not always fresh. Not recommended.
Excellent Pakistani Sweets and great food. You will find chaats, pakoras, samosas, Namakparay, and many other things. If you miss Pakistan and want to remeber the taste of paki things. Do go there. Its a must eat place.
Excellent Paki Mithai and a Great place for Desi Chaskaas as well. They serve daily Lunch Buffet and Halwa Puri on weekends. I think they are the oldest and Best for sweets and delicacies. Owner, Mr. Gill is an excellent fellow a well respected community member. If you are in the DC Metro area you have got to stop by here for good food or sweets and desserts.
