In business since 1998, Eastern Foods now operate two stores. First one is on Hurontario just North of Dundas, and the second one is in the plaza on the south-east corner of Ridgeway and Laird (Winston Churchill and Dundas area). Both locations have take-out food counters. Their most popular item is the $3.99 Chicken Biryani. Also on the menu are freshly cooked curries and saalans, samosas, spring rolls, beef/chicken patties and kabab/chicken rolls.

Food is ok, very reasonably priced for everyday takeaway for overtime workers and students. Ideal for quick meals. The uncle at the cash counter sometimes charges me extra for some reason. Probably just in error but it's happened 3 times already! Alienix

I ordered Biryany several times in few occation and everyone liked the way it cooked till last time when I ordered Mutton Biryany and we found chicken and beef meat mixed with mutton.I complained and called several times to talk to the owner and at 5th attempt I talked to him. He totally ignored my complaint as I did not show them the proof and made me a liar. This is the way we muslim people look for Halal Foods all over the city and got cheated, misbehaved and loosing our dignity. Let there be light !

It is a small shop that has done a world of good to many pakistani and indian bacholars living in mississuaga. However the establishment needs to be particular about its cleanliness. During Weekends, due to one cash till, customer might have to wait in the line for as long as 15 to 20 minutes. An above average quality of food for an economical price makes the store popular! Mostly, cooking is done by 3 ladies of south asian origin.

This is a small place but it has also a home made takeout food facility on top of groceries and Halal meat.
