Just went there yesterday and had some great food. They're located in the mall downstairs. I had the lamb Kebob plate with rice and my wife had a chicken wrap. It seems everything on the menu is halal

Owners are Muslim & I am satisfied the place is halal. Note that they have a cousin with a halal kebab place in Te Anau as well, though I did not go there (at the mobile station). There is also an indian restaurant at the same food court here who says their food is halal, but the owners here (Turkish Kebab) had their concerns. We ate here several times. Food was good and portions large.

There is one halal restaurant in Queenstown named Bombay Palace produced with the certified halal restaurant. But the staffs will show it to you only when you ask for it.

I concur with roz's comments dated '04-02-29 except that we didn't give salaam not knowing whether the person attending to us was muslim. It's probably the only halal outlet in Queenstown(or even the entire South Isle outside of Christchurch).

When we went here we were told that only the chicken was halal. So u probably need to ask which of the meats is halal. But I guess they'll tell u as soon as u give salam, which was in our case.
