This is the place to go for Pakistani food in a slightly upmarket setting (i.e not with your mates for a night out, more of a family type of place). Great food, the tandoori items, currys, naans/rotis, daal, all is great. One big negative is the alcohol served.
I am surprised at why anyone would consider this place breathtaking? it has fairly standard company fit out decor which can be seen in any chain bar/restaurant. the food is catered towards the mainly scottish public on non asian descent. the owners are pakistani, but the food is definitely not what you would call desi. the place has a retro placing in glaswegians hearts hence its popularity.
THe food, service, decor is breathtaking! I am an expert and when i say breathtaking it is not to be taken lightly
Very nice food, great service, the only down side is that the alcohol was flowing big time
Yes the restaurant is definately good, Its basically the same food as the Shalimar on Gibson Street whom if i remember correctly was Scotland first Pakistani Restaurant and the only Halal Eatery in those days in the whole of Scotland, i think Shish Mahal is one of their sister companies they opened later, however Shalimars standard shows amd another fine point for the Shalimar Group. Well Done
UNBELEVABLE! This place is the best, i have eaten pakistani food in Lahore but this is far superior, my taste buds were in heaven
