Very Good store. Good selection of Halal Meat, lots of South Asian grocery items, even jewelry. Nice staff, decent prices. Overall a very good Halal store.
WOW.... Just moved from chicago and found a store that had EVERYTHING i needed.... rice, spices, fresh goat, chicken, and shan masala. The management was very nice, and the store was super clean. I would recommend this store to any muslim in denver!
Moving to Denver just one month back I am glad to find a grocery store that sells fresh meat & has a wide variety of spices, rice, lentils & Halal frozen food with good customer service. They also sell pots & pans, Islamic books, ladies traditional clothing, bangles & some imitation jewelery.
I visited this establishment with my family when I moved to Denver this past summer and was amazed at how friendly the management was. They were sincerely happy to help me find all my groceries and the butchers in the back were very obliging when I asked for my meat to be cut in a certain way. I shop here almost every two to three weeks and would recommend this store for anyone who wants top quality halal meat sold in a family environment.
The store came under a new management few months back. This new management is TERRIBLE. We bought chicken that smell so bad that we threw it. The minced goat that was sold was from a non-muslim butcher. It is highly doubtful the goat was halal. Would NOT recommend this store to anyone.
This weekend I bought some chicken from the store which was spoilt when I opened it (1.5 hours later) at home. This never happened in the two years I have been a customer. The store products have been of good quality. However a couple of months ago the store changed hands and I don't know the new owners. I took the spoilt chickens back the next day to alert the owners to the problem and have my money refunded. The owner refused to accept any responsibility and accused me of spoiling the chickens (exactly how?). I didn't have any proof that they intentionally sold me bad chicken. The owner didn't have any proof that the chicken were good when sold. In such a situation I found it strange that the owner was so insistent that the meat was good when sold. Worse his son actually claimed that the (obviously spoilt) chicken was quite edible. I hope that this was merely rhetorical since the meat had a real pungent smell to it. To his credit the owner was quite polite with me but unwilling to accept a problem. This is not good business practice since if there is a problem it will recur. They are losing my business since if I cannot trust them to take a quality issue seriously I cannot trust them to provide me good quality halal meat. Also if they are unwilling to investigate their process to avoid the same thing recurring and they are willing to lose a customer it seems that serving their customers is not a priority. This is, unfortunately, a store providing an invaluable and irreplaceable service. I suggest that if you buy meat from them carefully check it including asking the wrapping to be opened. Don't buy the displayed meat; the prior owners never used the display and I suspect it was because the cooling may not have worked. Overall a very disappointing experience. Be careful until the new owners can prove that they can be trusted!
They have an excellent inventory of Indian/Pakistani spices and food items. Additionally, they have rather reasonably priced, excellent quality halaal meat available.
People are nice, and the place has improved over the years. Cheapest and best quality chicken available, place is a bit pricy but this is the only good place in Denver.
A great place to go for fine Indian/Pakistani produce, fresh meat, chicken, herbs and spices. Excellent crew with family like enviroment
loved it.
Excelllent service and good stock. The personal touch and courtesy of the owners is delightful.
If this is the best halal meat market that Denver has to offer, then we made a big mistake moving to this cow town..
It was a wonderful experience to shop at world Market. The staff is all family and really really helpful. Really clean and excelent meat and all grocieries were very reasonable price. Great phone cards too. 5/31/04 Mon
