about chicken cottage they claim that chicken & there other products are halal 1)there intrest is only franchise and that's how they make there money 2) there supplier is eden valley and they pay commession to chicken cottage bosses.if you phone eden valley they even don't know where there supply is comeing from there answer is from europe also just to let you know uk halal board explained in news paper that there is no sloughter house in europe which means there chicken is haram. 3)to all muslim think and think hard it is impossible to supply such a large quantity chicken to all supplier and shops they are simply running durty business

To state that Chicken Cottage is Haram makes me feel very uncomfortable. The Chicken is fantastic especially their grilled and the atmosphere is on par with any global player. We muslims need to establish the evidences before we speak!

Chicken Cottage have been serving Halal fast food for more than a decade with the backing and support of local Imams and organisations with full transparency. However, we have been working hard to encompass all Halal requirements including non-stun and as of January this year all burgers have been non-stun and insha Allaah from 16/09/04 so will our chicken.

Yes chicken cottage are not halal, the chicken and burgers all derive from stunned meat which is an unislamic form of killing animals therefore HARAAM. This can be confirmed by phoning them.

People are stating that their chicken suppliers are Eden Valley who stun their chicken. Which makes in the view of a lot of people the chicken to be not halal.

The chicken here was a lot tastier than other Chicken Cottages in surrounding areas - fresh, clean and tasty. Open until late most nights and very cheap - make sure you try the ribs (if you can handle them!).

This is the best fried chicken shop in London. It's clean, the chicken is fresh, the cooking oil is fresh, service is fast, atmosphere is friendly. They also cater for informal parties, where you can take 20 of your friends down and set up a long table! This Chicken Cottage branch really is the Rolls Royce of the Chicken Cottage chain!

The best fried chicken in the world ! Even better than halal KFC in Muslim countries. They also do grilled chicken which is quite nice.

I have spent more time in this culinary palace than was beneficial to either my waistline or exam results. With an ever-expanding range of additional side-orders and perennial 'meal-deals' this one is a winner. PS: One note of caution the 'barbacue ribs' are an aquired taste - stay clear.

There are many halaal fried chicken shops in England, esp. London. Although they are Halaal the food is not amazing hence the sobriquet : Cheap and cheerful. Chicken cottage is that absolute rarity ...a halaal fried chicken shop that is immaculate, tasty and cheap. The large teenage muslim popn of south London practically live on it! Enjoy!
