I originaly rated this place 5 star but after my last 2 visits I'm afraid I have to give it a 1 star rating. Food was different, svc was awful and to make things worse my wife found a nice long hair in her kebab roll. I will not be returning to this place again and will not recommend it to anyone.
Inconsistent food preparations. Different cooks all the time. A nice dish today might be a disappointing one the next time around. Ingredients and presentation need some serious attention. We've had some minor turbulence below on more than a few occasions after eating here. This seems to always be a last resort restaurant. At least the owner is friendly.
YEAH BEST RESTAURANT EVER FOOD IS AMAZING PAPA LARI ROCKS
tandoori charcol naan and chicken leg best in montreal or try chana dall but small restaurant with real food thanks
The Shish Kebab roll and the Karai Ghost and the Biryani were good. Ample quantities and good service. There is a mosque and a motel nearby too for out of town visitors like me!
we are interested to turn our malay eating house into Kebab house and seriously looking interested party in this venture, please let me know if any response dear and thanks
I tried the following dishes: Tandoori chicken leg piece (good), Shish Kebab (very good), Chicken Biryani (excellent), and Chicken Choley (good). The service is nice, the restaurant is clean, and they have a large TV hooked up to Dish Network, and will entertain changing channels if you ask. The prices are reasonable for students. Expect to pay $6-$7 for biryanis and curries, and $1.50, $2.50 for a long shish kebab and tandoori chicken leg, respectively. Overall, a very good experience. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed by the biryani . it just simply tasteless nothing like biryani. They cooked curry with gravy and mixed with simple rice. Diluted, just spicy rice with chicken. No taste Even chicken breast pieces was uncooked looked likes raw meat. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely poor - slow, inattentive, and unprofessional. On top of that, the food was completely tasteless and lacked any flavor or freshness. Definitely not worth the time or money $13.
Price was low at 25$ for 2 butter chicken combo plates but portions were a little off. Only 4-5 small pieces of chicken, with way too much rice. It was good decent food!
Very nice little restaurant. This is the place to go when wanting a share of Indian-spicy food. Taste always fresh, excellent & moreover, succulent. Recommend the place for sure without hesitation. Never disappointed with their dishes. Overall, a 💎 from the area of VSL. Never disappointed. Also a great place to dine with friends. And even better with some company along.
One of the best South Asian restaurants in Montreal. Lovely staff and tasty food. Their chicken tikka masala and lamb korma are always a hit.
Excellent! This is the first Indian restaurant we've tried in Ville St Laurent since we moved here four years ago. We were spoiled and hesitant after living in Park Ex for several years, where the Indian restaurants are amazing. Ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken, palak paneer, samosas, and naan bread for delivery. The wait time was appropriate, food was warm. Everything was delicious. My husband and I had enough for dinner and then lunch the next day. This will definitely be my go-to Indian restaurant for takeout from now on.
