Best restaurant ever. If you're trying to have a real meal with some flavor, no other place is as satisfying. Every time I'm here I'm planning on the next time I need to be there.
Have never visited this restaurant. But has an event at the Barclays center for the South Asian Sports Leagues. We catered from there. Barclays was strict on specific caterers. This place was able to work with them. Food was on time and great. We had BBQ wings which were good. But the sliders were excellent. Can't wait to come back here.
Great sized generous portions. Had the fried whiting, Mac and cheese and collard greens to go. Next time will eat in Inshallah.
I went here a few weeks ago hoping to have a great soul food experience. I was very disappointed. After ordering food and taking it to my table, I was informed that they don't take credit card. They claimed their machine had not been working for the past 2 days. There was no sign anywhere stating this. The ATM machine outside the building was out of order. They happened to know the nearest ATM was a block or so away. Very poor customer service. They should have a sign on their door warning people they only take cash and also updated their website. They don't have A/C. The food is precooked and sits at a buffet table. The lady working there had the audacity to get mad at me because I decided not to eat there anymore since I only had a credit card. She was very rude and gave me attitude. I would have appreciated some honesty upfront. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Alhumdulillah tried it out today, Was very glad I think. The BBQ ribs were delicious as were the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. InshaAllah will be going back there and recommending it to others.
Soul food is rare enough as it is, but halal food too... this place's existence is amazing. I tried the smothered turkey and the jerk chicken, and they were both excellent. Tried various sides, and they were all amazing, although the corn was a little too sweet for me. Can't wait to come back!
Absolutely delectable soul food. The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese were among some of the best I've ever eaten, Masha'Allah. The smothered lamb chops I ordered were very tender, but a bit too much bone and not enough meat. The gravy that came with it was out of this world. I regret not trying this place sooner!

Even though I did not live too far away from this place and was in the area quite often, I only managed to eat from this place once. The food was quite good and the service great. Not much space to sit and eat inside and I guessed two of my favourite places in NYC which were located in the same are kept drawing me away. I highly recommend this place though.
DELICIOUS FOOD MashAllah! the okra and the jerk chicken were the best. The beef bbq ribs were pretty good as well. Worth the little walk from the subway. Worth the price.

The sides are probably the best part of this restaurant (yummy candied yams and mashed potatoes and mac and cheese etc.), but everything here is delicious. There aren't many places you can get halal bbq ribs and it's great here. I'm definitely going back even though parking is hard to find. The food is worth it and the service is friendly.
Great place with a unique menu! Jerk chicken is spicy and delicious with flavor that goes all the way down to the bone. The sides are amazing with flavorful mac and cheese, mashed potatos, and delicious candied yams on the list. The staff and owners are friendly and very welcoming. You get a lot of food for the price as well.
I sampled the baked chicken, fried chicken, and the okra and yams sides, all of which were delicious. It doesn't seem like the largest place from the outside but there is a fair amount of seating. Brother Suliman led us downstairs where we prayed Maghrib with him. The prices are very decent and the food and service was excellent. I highly recommend this establishment.
