I have been a regular at this place ever since i moved to Milwaukee in 2007. Bro Nawaf who owns and runs the Farm - Holiday Sheep and the store - Garden Of Eden is very courteous, well mannered and God fearing man. He has many kids himself the youngest of whom is 1 month older than my youngest son. Earlier I have seen his wife manage the shop sometimes and she used to bring her kids to the shop. Also I have personally seen him slaughtering sheep/goat. His meat is tender and great. He is greatly recommended.
New owner now. Meat is much cheaper than sasta bazaar since the owner has his own farm and slaughters on his own. Indian spices are more expensive since he buys them from other stores. I recommend this place over others.
I agree with the last poster, the owner of this store is extremely rude! He has nothing to do with operating a buisness which deal with people. Furthermore, this is the worst store in the Milwaukee area - Not if the other ones are great- his meat department is so gross, and again the owner has the attitude that he is there to be served by the customers, not the other way around !
To all the Muslim community people in Milwaukee...my family and I had the Unfortunate experience of meeting this young gentleman who I believe is the owner of GARDEN OF EDEN GROCERY STORE IN MILWAUKEE. He was very rude with our family from the time we walked in the store. Also, we had two kids with us who came in the store, and the owner of the store said that, "this is not your home, they cannot run around here". Now, if my kids were touching everything and misbehaving than that is a different story...all they were doing was walking around with the cart, accompanied by us. I have been in this country for the last 18 years, and have never experienced such attitude, especially from a store owner who is trying to make a sale. All I can say is that he lost a customer...therefore, if you have a choice, do not spend money in his store. Sincerely, Concerned Family.
The Meat is good though you need to tell the person to cut it for you, meat in packet sometimes maybe decieving but on the whole they say they serve zabihah.
Great source for fresh and frozen zabiha beef & poultry as well as middle eastern groceries and produce. The butchers are great and will cut meat to order while you wait or call and order ahead and have it ready for pick up.
