About The Red Fort

Following an elaborate refurbishment programme The Red Fort has opened with a new design that uses the materials of the Red Fort in Delhi in a contemporary way. The overall impression of the newly refurbished Red Fort is one of modern design, influenced by ancient indian tradition creating an intoxicating mix of old and new. Add to this recipe a renowned chef and you have the key ingredients that are whipping up the excitement surrounding the reopening of the Red Fort. The Red Fort was built by Shah Jahan as his court and residence in Delhi. The Emperor who built the Taj Mahal had this bold inscription carved into the stones of his new palace: If there is a Paradise on earth, this is it, this is it, this is it.

Rubbish. A small variety of dishes leaves much to be desired for. It has all the gloss and sophistication but lacks a the real substance, that being a wide array of good food.

Food is over rated. Your local takeaway is probably better than this place and cheaper to boot.
