My rating for KungFu is btwn 3-4 stars. Food was 4-star but Service was 3-star. The wait staff was great, but the "kitchen service"- not good. One big service mistake a restaurant can make is serving food with delay [or out of order]. First, the most important , in this case the kitchen prepared and had served my dining guest's entrée meal well before mine. Me, having to encourage my guest to eat by herself while I sit and stare at her. BAD #1 ! Second, they then served the appetizer [seaweed salad] after they served my guest's entrée but BEFORE i ever recieved my Ramen"entrée So there we are, first, her with her Ramen, then us with the seaweed salad. And further, me, with no Ramen, and just picking at the seaweed salad. BAD #2. About 6-7 mins after my guest's Ramen, and 3-4 mins after the seaweed salad, my Ramen arrives. This is a kitchen problem. Servers were great. The seaweed salad was different for us in that we were used to Japanese style . But the seaweed itself was thicker, nuch more substantia herel. And it was soaked in "sauce ". However, I did enjoy it. My Ramen was more traditional and better than my guest's [we both agreed]. Hers had very very thick, heavy noodles. Just sit in your stomach for 4 hrs heavy. She could eat very little. Mine had a traditional noodle and was much better and more enjoyable. In terms of atmosphere, it was pretty basic, uninspired . Not bad, not good. Overall, while excited to try here, I think there are better places in Polanco area to get Ramen style soup. Sorry Kungfu.
