I always get excited when a new halal spot opens. I’ve been to Burger Factory in Ottawa and enjoyed it, so I was happy to try it once it opened in Halifax. I do have to admit though, I found it a bit pricey here!! My first visit was just okay. Since they had just opened, I assumed the kitchen was still getting used to things because my order was made incorrectly twice. The staff were very friendly and kind about fixing it. Several months later I ordered takeout again, but there was another mix-up. I placed two orders with different sides, and they were switched. One order was for someone else, so it was inconvenient having to open both bags and sort it out. That said, the burgers are good and the Ultimate Subs were tasty. I’d recommend dining in rather than takeout since the food can get soggy and cold quickly. The meat sub was also a bit salty the second time I ordered it. Overall, if you’re in Halifax and looking for a halal burger spot, it’s still worth trying at least once. They also have space to sit and eat.
