What a lovely little gem in the VCC area! We were immediately impressed by the peacefulness and joy of this little cafe and its presiding women. We ordered an iced baklava latte, an iced chai, a slice of honey cake and chicken shawarma. The drinks were cool, refreshing, and not too sweet. The shawarma was one of the most delicious things we have had in a long while. Don’t skip the pickles as they really do add so much crunch and flavor. Ingredients were fresh and cooked to order. Such flavor! Get it spicy! And that honey cake. It’s hard to describe. Dense without being too heavy, moist, and just a subtle graham-like sweetness that made it the perfect end to our meal. Please please support this lovely small business. We can’t wait to go back later in the week and order our Upside Down for dinner!
