2x NAUTA-HALLOUMI DÖNER PITA = € 27,80 JARRITOS GUAVA 3,50 JARRITOS MANDARIINI 3,50 Total 34,80 € Arrived at 17.12.25 20:00 with the intention of grabbing a dönor or two. They close at 21:00 but the place was empty. Checking with the chef/cashier we discovered that the establishment does much less business after the dinner hour and after 19:00 employees clean everything and prepare for closing. That was something I was trying to avoid by coming an hour or two prior to official closing hour. All the live meats turning on the spit and active kitchen hustle were absent. When I inquired if it was too late to get a fresh meal I was assured that that was not a problem. I was somewhat hesitant as the place looked like it was ready to close but as we had traveled a distance to get there especially for that meal we went ahead and ordered anyway. The employee was very generous with his time and any dietary considerations were acknowledged and worked with and that was a great plus for the establishment. First of all, I didn’t remember/ realize that the dönor pita contained a generous helping of sauces. I forgot to mention I prefer a minimum serving of those; I’m more of a purist and I prefer the seasonings, salads and proteins speak for themselves. I can’t fault the employees; my error! The taste was…ok. I’d rate a 5-6/10. Decent but I don’t rate on a curve. The amount was generous and even the smaller portion than the plate was good for my needs; really about perfect. However, there were some noticeable issues with the establishment that’s I’d like to address and they were ones of cleanliness and convenience. 1. Customers were expected to clean up after themselves. There’s actually signage that asked customers to bring back trash remains to the trash drop if the staff was busy…(the both of them were not busy and were talking). Totally NOT a problem but: - The place for silverware was a small stainless steel restaurant service pan that was filled with water. Dirty water. It splashes. At least I got hit with it. - The refuse pail underneath the hole in the countertop was full to overflowing and I had to ramrod the excess with the forks ands knives I was carrying back to make room for the trash I brought back from the table. 2. Wash closet/bathroom was lacking in hand soap and drying agent (paper towels in this case). I came out with hands dripping and was offered napkins when I asked if I could use some for that propose. In general, I’d say the place was mid: service was excellent in direct customer-facing context, lax in the backend. A place to go in a pinch but I think there’s better out there. In any case, I’d think go during the dinner hour where the food is freshest and the rotation highest.
