As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
An absolute rip-off. Do not waste your money. I usually love Osmow’s, but this location was a massive disappointment. I was served by Sonu, who gave me what can only be described as a joke of a portion. I paid full price for a meat dish and ended up with a plate of dried salad and a microscopic amount of beef. It felt like he was rationing the food or charging me for a vegetarian plate. When you pay hard-earned money, you expect a proper meal, not a container full of filler because the staff wants to skimp on the main ingredient. Barely any meat, zero care for the customer, and an incredibly frustrating experience. Management needs to look into how Sonu is serving guests because this was completely unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location.
