In addition, our 11 freshly prepared Mediterranean inspired salads and Crispy Falafel, Golden Fries and Saffron Rice will complement your cravings. Our menu appears deceptively simple but is purposely designed to provide you the freedom to decide exactly how you want your meal made. We offer all of this in a comfortable setting with courteous staff so you can gather with your family and friends and share a great meal together.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From the management: 'Bay Area locations have halal carved chicken, halal carved lamb and beef, and halal grilled chicken kebab. San Diego, LA, Austin, and Orange County locations have halal carved lamb and beef. We understand and respect that the issue of Halal food can be quite complex, and there are a range of opinions surrounding this issue. Our goal is to be open and transparent so you can make an informed decision on whether to dine with us. Please note that we serve non-Halal meats and sell alcohol.'
Kabob Shop – Good food, but room for improvement I recently visited Kabob Shop, and overall the place had a good vibe. Ordering was simple, though the process leans heavily on using the ordering pad rather than interacting with staff. That’s fine for convenience, but it takes away a bit from the personal, connected dining experience I was hoping for. As I was deciding whether my family should eat in or take the food to go, I noticed that the tables weren’t very well maintained or cleaned. Because of that, there really wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit, which was disappointing given the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. The food itself was tasty and definitely something I’d try again. Prices are fair and about average for what you get. I ordered the lamb wrap — it was flavorful, though it did have a noticeably stronger, gamier smell than I expected. I’ve included a photo of the wrap and its contents so you know what to expect before ordering. Good food overall, but the dining area and cleanliness need more attention to make the experience complete.
