I had a self-curated half-day tour in Mojiko Retro. The following is my itinerary for your reference. I hope it can help you structure your route logistically so as to maximize your time here. The area’s charm which is a combination of nostalgic 1920s architecture and stunning strait views lies in its compact waterfront layout. The following are some key attractions that are worth visiting: (1) JR Mojiko Station: This Taisho-era architecture is preserved beautifully. It is the perfect starting point since it opens directly into the heart of Mojiko Retro. (2) Blue Wing Moji: Stroll toward the waterfront to see the Former Moji Customs Office and the Dalian Friendship Memorial Hall. After that, cross the Blue Wing Moji, a unique pedestrian drawbridge that opens and closes exactly 6 times a day on a fixed daily schedule (10:00am / 11:00am / 1:00pm / 2:00pm / 3:00pm / 4:00pm). (3) Mojiko Retro Observation Room: Take a lift up the 31/F of the high-rise tower to enjoy panoramic views of the strait and Shimonoseki across the water. Enjoy a unique view of Blue Wing Moji.
