I had such a lovely meal at Damo! As a coeliac, eating out can sometimes be a bit stressful, so I was genuinely impressed by the gluten-free options available. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the gluten-free dishes feel just as special and carefully thought out as everything else on the menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. My favourite dish was definitely the tuna carpaccio starter – it was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted amazing. I was also so pleased that they offer gluten-free pasta (made in-house not shop bought), it tasted incredibly fresh and didn’t feel like a compromise at all, which can often be the case with gluten-free pasta. The gluten-free tiramisu was another real highlight. Honestly, it’s the best GF tiramisu I’ve ever had. Most GF desserts can be lacking in texture and taste dry, but this one was spot on and had the perfect texture while tasting just like a traditional tiramisu. The service was fantastic too. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome throughout the evening. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Damo, especially to fellow coeliacs looking for amazing Italian food, great gluten-free options, and a wonderful dining experience.
