I was missing Japan and craving Yakiniku, after searching all day my fiancee suggested this place, from photos it looked a little questionable from the building exterior but we decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad we did. Shinbashi Yakiniku is an authentic Japanese Yakiniku experience in Underwood, the entire vibe reminded me of the various Yakiniku restaurants we visited over our many trips to Japan. I was delighted to see they offered Kagoshima Wagyu, one of our favourite types of Japanese Wagyu and was incredibly pleased it tasted like the real thing, leading me to believe it's imported and not imitation like some other restaurants claim in Australia. The food come out fast, the BBQ experience was authentic and tasty, the beer was cold and beautiful, the staff were lovely and a special thank you to Charlie who checked on us multiple times throughout our dining experience and also ran out to give me back my jacket I forgot.

Two words to desribe this place INAUTHENTIC and IMITATION. If you want to pretend you went to eat a yakiniku at decent price, go here. If you care about quality and experience, avoid this place. The meat masquerades itself to look high quality, but it tastes of nothing, and chews like rubber. Sure some are tasty, only about 1/3 of the time. It had the same taste and texture of a frozen meat. The fish were tough chewy and dry. Bibimbap had the wrong rice. It came in a dolsot, it had the right ingredients but prepared wrong - sizes of vegetables was wrong, type of rice wrong, the way rice cooked wrong, gochujang wasnt the right taste. Udon had good flavourful katsuobushi, but other than that it was still an imitation. This whole place is just a pretend. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was good.

Every time i have come here over the last 5 years the food has always been great quality and a great price. I highly recommend coming on a weekend for the $50 all you can eat menu. You won't find better value anywhere else. The food is always delivered promptly and the staff are always amazing. Especially Sharon, she is very friendly and offers great customer service.

I went on a weekday but the place was still crowded! The beef was fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, definitely one of the better Japanese BBQ spots I’ve tried. There were only two servers running around taking care of everyone, so things moved a bit slowly at times. But Jess was super energetic, friendly, and really tried her best to keep up with all the tables. Would happily come back for the food — just hope they have a few more staff next time!

We had a wonderful dining experience tonight! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was really nice and comfortable. A gentleman who served us this evening—he seemed like the manager—provided exceptional service. He recommended the M9 Wagyu set, which was amazing, and regularly checked in to see how we were enjoying everything. He also noticed we were celebrating a birthday and surprised us with a complimentary ice cream parfait at the end — such a thoughtful gesture! He also offered to take a photo for us, which made the evening even more memorable. We truly appreciate his hospitality and kindness. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
